I get that DQ is fairly important in the grand scheme of things but holy fuck, 20 hours just to fully unlock classes is a joke when absolutely nothing happens in those 20 hours. I swear the fact that JRPGs have fallen out of relevance is because the generation that grew up with them realised they were mostly brain dead with garbage writing and the generation after saw that from the start.

I guess SMT, Etrian Odyssey & some Experience INC games kept up with the times to some degree but everything else seems to be a wasteland of games that haven't moved forward in decades.
