My hard carry champ Yasuo is banned all the time so I'm stuck playing stuff like Lux which I'm sure is nice in competitive or whatever but it seems in solo Q to beat the system you need to play a hard carry or you can get fucked very easily by match making. Hit Diamond 4 the other day, still learning stuff, but felt I could share some climbing tips.
>Jungle Main, but play a lot of Top as well
>Hit CS. Seriously, what is the difference between a Challenger player and a Diamond player? A shit load, but the best players don't miss CS for bullshit reasons. It is literally free gold sitting right there, think of hitting CS as the college credit you get for showing up to class.

>Picking for comp is reasonable. The people that say "hurr durr carry harder" are missing the team aspect. Sure, if your ADC sucks, the game might be difficult at fifty minutes, but playing engage champions or tanks (Maokai, Gnar, Lissandra, Rek'Sai) is a great way to climb since A. They have a shit ton of CC and that is good for any comp. There is a reason Pro players make fun of the tank meta.

Yes, but he has to approach with 2 axes up, the third off CD, and max CDR incase he needs another one. It takes about 4-5 hits if they are all axes, jinx/vayne will kill him in 5-6 assuming they don't crit every single time.

He does a fucking shit load of damage if he can hit you, the problem is he requires a large amount of set up and some level of team coordination because of his relatively low range and the need to be constantly in motion in team fights.

He has trouble hitting towers, is excellent at killing baron/dragon/players, is lacking in long team fights, but is once again top dog in quick skirmishes. Duels are entirely reliant on your gold compared to theirs, if equal its about how quickly you can fire off the axes inbetween catching them.
His highs are some of the highest, his lows are mid tier. The biggest problem is trying to keep the racecar burning from its tires off at 300 mph. Sometimes an axe doesn't fall right and your damage plummets, sometimes you have 4 in the air and its a massacre. If draven does not set the tempo, he is strictly worse than other viable ADCs

What's the best way to stop Morg mid when your jungler is too scared to gank? Especially if she gets a free double from bot. She shoves hard and she can't be CC'd easily, so what can you do?

Last game I went up against him as Riven, and the same shit that happens every other time I go up against him happened.

Garen's a pretty good pick against Riven is why. Play a champion less reliant on abilities who can be as tanky as him. He demolishes squishies, especially those with no sustain.

Your stun has longer range than his silence so you can use that to slap him for free and then dash away, use that to build a health advantage and then freeze the lane, your all in is better than his.

If he spins on you at level 2 just auto attack him, level 1 spin does pitiful damage and youll outtrade easily

Wukong his problem, and thats coming from a guy who has played him in master on EUW is that once people will start dropping pinks everywhere in teamfights that you have very limited options compared to Gnar.

Gnar is just still insane even after his nerfs at master+. There never was a tank meta on toplane, only at the very start when malphite / poppy / mao were a bit too OP.

Although after the last buff of Malphite he again became a pretty solid pick.

Also you have Olaf, most people who play him at high ranking use scripts for him. Which makes lanes vs him very annoying due to the script.

I could have done that, I was actually only a few CS behind the whole time. Then she hit 6 and wandered to botlane through our jungle (our jungler had zero presence) and walked behind our botlane, ulted, and killed both. They blamed me even though I pinged 30 seconds before she even got there and she walked over one of my wards on the way there.

So I guess the double just pushed her into unstoppable territory. I could never all in her. I suppose I could go with Ahri into Morg again in the future and hope for a competent team where every lane doesn't lose, if I see the match up again.

It's really frustrating because there's fuck all you can do once she's ahead, especially if the jungler doesn't show up. Her ult is really strong and the radius of it is too large to get out once she hits it, so if she's ahead, she could just get a double.

I quit League in mid-Plat so I was never really good, but I just got placed into fucking Gold 5 after over 6 months of not playing. Shit sucks, especially since there are so many changes to the game I have to learn.

How do I win against Nasus as Gnar?

Now, I tell you what I've tried

-I've tried out tanking him
-I've tried going damage first so I can win early on
-I've tried poking as much as possible
-I've tried focusing on farm only
-I've tried freezing my lane
-I've tried pushing my lane
-I've tried roaming
-I've tried staying with him
-I've played with and without jungle help

It just seems like WHATEVER I DO OR WHATEVER I TRY, he will be stacking way much more than I can handle. It will be impossible to actually notably win trades after he lands an E on me and if he gets to do a Q with iceborn gauntlet and i'm not basically inside my tower range, I'm pretty much dead. Plus mega brings me a great disadvantage since i can only W him for what it takes for me to walk away with an E on my head and slowing him with Q doesn't help jack shit in most cases.

I can't really blame it on the match I just had cause my ashe went afk after losing her lane as well but holy fuck, how do I into nasus? I feel like I've tried it all but there's always ONE THING he can excell at that will completely render me useless in lane.

Weekend modes.
It's super easy to get S in them since they're so imbalanced. For instance, Garen in URF is a guaranteed S no matter what you do because he is so hilariously overpowered. Some of the stompier games will end up with everyone one the winning team earning an S.

Barring that, you can try to play champions in unusual roles. Successful meme strategies are usually a quick way to get an S since there aren't many players playing them so you have an easier time being better than all of them.
