it's cossack 1 remade. The store page even said so. So far old glitches and bugs are still there, but mod support is there, game released with SDK

well it uses a different graphic engine, so there's zoom in and out. That's kind of important for these type of games. Balance are different and little stuff like that

Gates of Hell isn't technically Men of War, it's made by some third party devs that have a hard on for GSM or something. Personally, I prefer World at War, I don't really like mods that screw with the core gameplay too much.

But yeah, DMS are high if they think Call to Arms is going to succeed with only two main factions and two minors released later on. If some chucklefuck can wedge 30+ factions into stupid mods like Red Rising, I feel like DMS could put in the work to make sure that at least a few more major nations were in Call to Arms by release.

It sucks because IMO CTA is, despite a few quirks I don't like(Like the lack of SP units to help fluff out the lulls where manpower is spent), a superior MoW in actual gameplay. Especially with the improvements to direct control and how infantry fight each other.

At least with Gates of Hell being it's own game it can have the gameplay that GSM want without the limitation of being a mod of another RTS game, so it might end up being pretty good, if they can flesh out all the mechanics.

It's the same engine sure but they can modify alot more to fit what they want to make. Same with Call to Arms, same engine but little upgrades made it a much more fun game to play

I like it and it works well for me so far.

Mod and MP support is nice but it has its bugs and stuff. Hopefully they will be fixed as the game seems to be fun
