First and foremost, I like that the motto phone guy uses popped up here. Not many writefags ever bring up the "Where fantasy and imagination come to life" (well, technically 'fantasy and fun', but it's a derivative) bit, which is weird, since it's like "I'm loving it" with McD's or "Eat Fresh" with Subway. That it's slightly off also goes with the central theme of this chapter which seems to be how the past, even in celebration, is forgotten or rewritten in many ways. Done for comedy for the most part, but it's a charming concept.

The throwbacks to historical accuracy being built on stereotypes got a chuckle out of me, like the burly Italian mustached man teaching how to make pizza. Reminded me of that old Chucky Cheese mascot.

The callback to Toy Chica's old outfit was cute, I had to browse the booru a bit to remember all the party designs, the only ones that stuck with me all this time was Toy Bonnie (or Bonita) and Mangle (Mae I think).

The biggest issue I have with this chapter is it's almost entirely description of what's happening. I assume the primary focus in the robots and how they run the establishment, which is described. But the lack of dialogue until the last four lines makes it feel more like hearing a professional recount rather than a character-focused narrative. I can pick up from describing how she works that Bonita is a workaholic and Birdie Lu is antisocial, but dialogue goes a long way to fleshing out the quiet moments which this chapter would have benefit from.

The party bots as a concept could have carried a story, even in short chapters like this, if it had time and enough chapters to build momentum readers would have time to get invested. As it stands now as a two chapter story on hiatus, it's a cute, quick read but not enough meat to thoroughly analyze.

I wouldn't mind if she dropped Burlesque because it was going full ham anyway. Past Present Party just didn't convey itself as well as Burlesque. There wasn't really a pull to it. Burlesque was leading to a conflict, PPP was mostly just sorta nothing I guess? No real conflict, was just slice of life. I think it felt like it was written vastly differently from her Burlesque stories. If there was a pull to it I'd have enjoyed it more. I felt kind of iffy about their design but maybe that's just personal taste; Freddy's smug calarts face is still meme material though.

I disagree. The Party bots are more interesting than the Burlesque bots because they have general personality traits both good and bad, not just waifu archetypes. The burlesque bots, minus Freida didn't have big motivations. Bonita was bottom level wanting to make it big to sate her workaholic tendencies and low self esteem. Burlesque Bonnie was adorable but let's be real, she's waifu bait. Like VawBonnie or GhostSpringBon, cute but Bonita has more character by virtue of being a character. Party Chica had social agorophobia and contemplated robotic rights, Burlesque Chica fucked dudes. The Burlesque crew worked for waifu wish fulfillment with some mafia fun in the mix. The party crew could be used to tell an actual story.

Well, it's sold officially at the young adult/middle school section of book stores and middle school book fairs, so yeah. There's no explicit gore except in the 4th game (the gore in FNAF1 is cartoony at worst), no language (except in FNAF World, which is pretty damn funny), no sexual themes to speak of (Toy Chica doesn't count). FNAF was always a black humored comedy much the way the Fear Street series was. It's still intense, but it was never an adult thing. It's got an E10 rating officially for the first two titles. FNAF4 was an attempt to make a 'mature' FNAF title, and it came off very forced. Light and silly with genuinely unsettling ambiance is usually where FNAF shines.

FNAF 1 was never designed to cater to young audiences. It was only after it caught on with kids that Scott actually started to market towards them. Even so, the themes presented in each game are hardly family friendly. Child murder, grotesque maiming, demonic possession, all shit that's at the very least strongly implied by each installment. That's not to say it's a particularly mature game, but calling it "light and silly" is just blatantly wrong. I'd say the overall tone is closer to Cabin in the Woods or something.
