First, don't use frost, at least not with vanilla. Get magic mods and a perk overhaul. I'm not pure destruction, I use a lot of conjuration and a bound sword sometimes, but fireball usually gets the job done pretty nicely when I have to kill things myself. I only have like a couple of perks in destruction as well. Also, learn to avoid getting hit. As a mage, health isn't your strong suit. Mage armor and TK dodge will help.

I had a few morrowind playthroughs with different races. Last one was a nord nerevarine, and then my Hero of Kvatch was pretty much the same guy. I forget if my Dragonborn was, probably was since I played these on console. When I got the PC I was able to really role-play just an average guy again.
None of them were related, and Snakestone has met the Nerevarine. Or a guy claiming to be him.

So, what thoughts do people have on the Remaster? I didn't give a shit until today, when I considered how overall disappointing I found FO4 while still enjoying looking at it, and remembered that we are basically getting 64bit Skyrim with already included ENB and Textures updates (and hopefully some model updates too).
One of the thing that endlessly pissed me off about vanilla Skyrim was the fucking shadows, and hit and miss textures. From the 'trailer' it looks like the game will be amazing to look at in a way it isn't unless modded out the ass.
A shame there likely won't be any actual new content, because while it's been long enough I can probably enjoy a new playthrough and really take my time, I doubt it being pretty will give it the staying power it had at launch.

There are many reasons that turning up the difficulty does not solve, mainly in that it makes enemies do more and more damage with each tier.
Going from Adept to Expert makes you inflict 25% less, which is fine, but it makes enemies inflict 50% more. Going to Master makes you inflict half, which would be good for the Destro and possibly the One-Handed Ordinator perks, but it makes enemies inflict double damage, and the armour perks aren't as OP as the damage inflicting perks. Increasing the difficult doesn't solve the problem because it effects both damage output and damage received.

difficulty comes from a lot of different avenues, and different people like different kinds of difficulty
for example, you have Redmage's difficulty, he likes super drawn-out nip fights where it's a battle against numbers and you have to prepare a ton of shit before you fight and cast all your spells in the right order and stagger-counter boss attacks and stuff
I personally just set damage to stupid levels (around x6 for both npcs and myself, x3 for magic) and live with that.
But whatever difficulty you like, making that real in your game comes down to knowing what mods to use and what settings to apply. We can help you find mods to make your game more like you want, but this is just dumb.

You want a different game. By design, the difficulty scale is Skyrim works exactly as you described, and you'll need to revisit it frequently. Becoming OP quickly is a vanilla feature that can be adjusted with mods, but there is no way to remove it. You sure have a lot of complaints about a mod you haven't tried.

I actually just got it working together with Poser Hotkey faces thing though having to go back to the Faces MCM menu each time to adjust a face slightly is tedious, even with the sliders and its not without its frustrations.
I might try to just do it in RaceMenu instead once I have the pose I want, seems like it may be quicker, but for other NPCs it will have to be through Poser Hotkey.
