Have you been on any other servers? If yes then deleting the things in your Cache folder might fix the invisible item thing. Everyone will look gearless to you for a while but it will fix itself within a minute.

there was no previous cache to go off of, it's a fresh install
and i only the items that were moved became 'invisible'
i couldn't pick them back up from the slot i put them in, but if i swapped the slot with a different item, i could retrieve it
the other item would vanish however
it resolved itself after a while

I'm currently playing through Legion as a retribution paladin, and I'm having fun; I'll be sincere. The issue is that not having anyone to talk to is killing me. It almost feels like I'm playing a semi-singleplayer game and the guild I joined is a RP guild that never does anything, but I stay, since it's a calm group of people and I'd rather have that than nothing. I really want to find a daily group of people to socialize with though, like a discord or something, but having seen what the ffxiv one is - I'm kind of afraid of joining the wowg discord.
