Got my N3DS system hacked with A9LH a while ago.

Got my N3DS XL's 11.0 system transferred to the N3DS system, A9LH intact, did the H&S FBI injection and got the Fieldrunners exploit installed.

Now all I gotta do is wait a week and I can transfer my system back to its rightful place on my N3DSXL, and proceed with the firmware downgrade from there.

Unfortunately, transferring the hacked N3DS profile to the N3DS XL I want to hack means losing my StreetPass Mii Plaza save data among other things.

It's far preferable for me to keep my 3DS profile intact, I've been using it since the 3DS launched in March 2011.

I can also restore my N3DS's previous NAND after I transfer my N3DSXL profile back where it belongs.

MD5 is a "hash" file. You smoke it.

If you run an MD5 hasher on your downloaded file, it should spit out the same value as the MD5 listed by the uploader. Basically it's a way to verify that your download isn't corrupt.

I tried, backing up Mii Plaza data is only possible if you have a hack running to get .CIA installed applications.

Running a .3DSX version of JK's Save Manager lacks the permissions to extract System Save Data, which is where save data for things like Mii Plaza, Mii Maker, the music and camera apps etc are kept.

This ended up being the only way to keep my Mii Plaza data. Now that I've got it on an already hacked system though, I've succeeded in backing it up.

Funny thing is, launcher fixes for 3DS firmware updates usually come out quickly.

This should not be taking as long as it has, there's probably not any technical hurdles as it should only require updating the offsets they're using.

3.3 has higher compatibility than 3.2 and is possibly more stable too, but if you boot any game that uses plugins, you can't switch games. 3.4 also has this problem from what I heard.

Bought a used New 3DS XL for the purpose of hacking it. Was on 9.6. I followed all the instructions to downgrade it to 9.2, but it soft bricked. Am I seriously fucked? Is there no way to change the DNS settings to some magical homebrew box that has the files for a older hackable firmware? I hate the fact that I have to update to 11.whatever. But I play Smash a lot online and in general. I beat NSMB2, SM3D, Paper Jam, Mario Kart all cups, Ocarina of Time, both Kirbys, I'm almost finished with my house in Animal Crossing, I beat Yoshi's Island, KH3D, both mainline Pokemons and Super MD, Awakening, Senran Kagura 2 and all DLCs. I have started a lot of progress in my GBA games, but I had to search for them all again because I wanted to get rid of ghosting and apply full colors and other miscellanous fixes such as (removing Yoshi's awful voices with the superior and godly voices of the SNES version, Final Fantasy VI music fixes, etc).

I have started Nintendogs, Wolrld 2 on Donkey Kong, Kid icarus, Xenoblade after I saved Juju, I beat the first dungeon in SMTIV, I'm at the third town in MH4U, I've made some progress in FF Explorers, Bravely Default has every shop maxed out. Theatrythm has at least 25000 rhythmia, I play on ultimate. I started Dragon Quest Theatr, Hatsune Miku I played a couple of songs, I started Starfox, Rune Factory 4 I'm getting used to, 7th Dragon Code is pretty fun. Hyrule Warriors I'm progressing, I've completed the Wii U version. ALBW I had to start over, but I'm in Lyrule. Dream Team about halfway. Steamworld I'm on the 5th map I believe. Etc.

I love my 3DS. I love video games. I have a wide variety of tastes so don't say I won't finish a majority of these.

We all know that updating to 11.1.0 doesn't break a9lh or Luma3DS. Do any payloads or other homebrew programs break? NTR, or anything else? Even the most insignificant program, I'd like to know what to expect before updating.

Had an 11.1 N3DS, normal size, and managed the 2.1 downgrade through the system transfer and OoTHax.

I got to part 3, and finished section II.

I tried to power it on, and while the blue light comes on, the screens stay off entirely. I checked my SD card, and found that I didn't get the arm9loaderhax.bin file.

This wasn't covered in the Plailect guide, but I went to the black screen troubleshooting guide anyway.

Followed steps 2-5 ( skipping 6 since it wasn't relevant ). I went through step 7, and can confirm that it is not a brick.

I did not use Gateway, and I can't see how I'm expected to redo the 9.2.0 ctrtransfer if both of my screens stay black for eternity.

It won't boot at all without the SD card in it.

Am I fucked?
