How do I get gud with hanzo?

I'm currently trying out the roster and practising with different heros.
As soon as I figure them out and do good consistently I het bored and move on to the next one.

I arrived at Hanzo, I didn't like him at first but he's the only interesting option left.

But he just feels so bad. Even as Pharah or Winston I didn't feel as gimped as him.

Anas, Widows, Pharas and other Winstons are hard as fuck counters and I am completely helpless against them. My aim is shit although I played a long time with phara and zenyatta and I don't have trouble aiming with those two. Ambushing tracers and genjis are also a problem.

His ult is underwhelming too.

So what's his secret? Is he just a useless widowmaker or am I missing something?
I'm playing him for 3 days straight and I can't feel any progress, it's burning me out especially since I picked up most of the heros pretty fast.
