The main problem with AST compared to WHM right now is only that AST has slightly less reliable healing cooldowns. That's it. AST beats WHM everywhere else; if they buff the cards to such an extent that they're calling it "scary," it could very well knock WHM off the meta this raid tier.

While I doubt it'll be able to still fully replace SCH due to the nature of SCH, it sounds like it might get decently close. Either way, there's very little that WHM brings over AST besides its raw healing power, which at times can be superfluous.

Quite honestly, though only fight that WHM was better for than AST was in Midas was A8S. AST brought too much to the table otherwise. WHM has next to nothing in terms of overall party buffs/mitigation/general resource management.

I'm curious to see if the card buffs are only applicable when in Nocturnal, as it would heavily tip the balance of power at least towards AST to a degree over SCH, and at the same time, keep the AST vs. WHM debate the same.

However, I doubt that. But we'll see.
