You can be fine with 27.2%, especially if you're a Skill/BLT hybrid, it's advised. 31.5% gems are a huge undertaking and while they add a huge chunk of additional damage, especially compared to hamlet gems, they're only worth it for pure BLT builds.

I'm at about 2,000 kills and have only gotten 1 radial 31.5% with kin down (beast down is also fine)

The stamina consumption for dodging and most weapons in BB is so low that 20 is really the most you should ever have, and even that is a bit excessive. Stamina runes are useful because they don't require you to waste levels on END.

He's designed to fuck with everything you know about dodging. He's a right bastard to fight, but he's a great fine. You have to be fast, diagonally dodging works much better than dodging in or out.

In his second phase, you can dodge the lightning pretty well in the water, but if you run right to the entrance of the arena, it straight up can't touch you.

Hunters axe- easier time dealing with mobs + range is useful for a lot of situations

Fedid makes certain enemies have buffs, and also drop better gems. Including stuff like Laberynth Madmen who can drop the best gems in the game for certain setups due to x2 effect on the secondary.

Rotted just summons bosses as wandering mobs, and since nothing they drop is ever useful because the actual boss drops better versions, there's no point in ever doing this Rite as far as I know. Just makes dungeons hard to complete with Witch's everywhere.

If there were to be a second game, I'd really dig it if it read your first game's save file, and made one of your characters that beat the first game the new host of the dream for the second.

So having done the whole arcane build thing (Once as pure arc, then again with enough to use the wheel and other weapons) I'm interested in doing a BLT build. Am I better off going mostly skill, mostly bloodtinge, having just enough physical to use the 3 bloodtinge dedicated weapons, or what? And what sort of gems do I need? I'm planning a Str/Blt build, but so far it's leaving me with a sour taste in my mouth.The Arm seems fun, and useful for crowd control, but I don't know how it looks at +10 and gemed, or whether the slit damage hurts it very much.

Now I made a build, which works on the basis of having access to the three main BLT weapons, and of course getting the most out of their transformed modes.

But with having just that little bit more in the skill stat, I feel I might be able to get more out of, say, the Chikage and Bowblade, be a little less easy to predict and work around

Although I'm caught between going 18 END/20 Skill incase of poison builds, or just going 13 END/25 to hit the softcap and deal with having less combos and having to play more cautiously in PvP

Or, of course, you know, just say fuck it and go 117 and be a bit of a dick

As for the skill, I'm most likely gonna lower my END and get it to soft cap, mostly for the increased amount of useful weapons and not having to rely completely on the bloodtinge forms of my main weapons (especially with the bowblades apparently rather good stat scaling)

And getting that little bit extra from visceral attacks since I'm told that skill increases their damage. Which with a build that uses guns so effectively would likely be a bonus, even if only as far as cheesing certain chalice bosses

What I am mainly interested in learning is what sort of gems I want to be going for. I mean there's a picture in the OP of all things dedicated to spoonfeeding people on arcane builds but I couldn't really find anything detailing the best gems for the weapons I'd be using (Chikage, Bloodletter, Bowblade. Reiterpallasch)

Guns are easy, since I'll just be going for HP regen on them, but this is new territory for me as far as weapons go, since the only one of those I've actually used before is the bowblade, at a very low level

Blood is counted as, and thus benefits from, Physical Damage Gems. So the best slot setup is Radial, Radial, Triangle for just nabbing Tempering Gems and getting the best of both weapon's forms. If/when you want to branch into full Blood mode, Radial, Triangle, Circular might be the best setup, since Blood attack gems can hit 31%, as opposed to 27%.

the best no-bt investment parry tool is the hunter's pistol but if you want a longer pistol the evelyn requires like 18bt or something and isn't worth it until over 25bt so you're stuck using something suboptimal like ludwigs.

Defeat the boss called Vicar Amelia, go back to the dream, there's an item waiting for you, take it and go to the Cathedral Ward lantern and take the left path out and go to where you find the Hunter set. Let yourself get grabbed.

The DLC is essentially its own separate area unconnected to the main game, you can go in and out whenever you wish (bar going into an NG+ cycle of course).

Be warned it is bastard hard and ideally you're going in there near the end of the game.

Need your advice, boys. I've only ever played BB and loved it. Tried DS2 (Scholar) and it seemed really clunky and ugly. Couldn't enjoy it. Even though I'm not a huge fan of the whole medieval theme and I prefer BB's style of combat and atmosphere, would I like DS3? It seems less clunky than DS2.

I really want to get back to the series but I think BB may have ruined it for me.

I mean, yes, many enemies in DkS3 are fast.

But the enemies in Bloodborne are fucking dopes for the most part. The gameplay in Bloodborne is so fast largely because of how dopey the enemies are. They enable you to play aggressively because they're easily stunned and have long start-ups on most of their attacks, which have no tracking.

@the anon asking about DkS3, something else to note about DkS3 gameplay is that it has lots of "puzzle" bosses. I think that is fine, but some people hate it. I like that it changes up the pacing of the game, and makes bosses more than just combat gauntlets, but some people want DkS2-style "every boss is a large body with difficult roll timings you have to memorize."

And in general it is easier than the other games, IMO. On my first playthrough I had trouble with I think 1 boss, who took me ~25 tries. Everything else I killed in 3 or less tries. And there are only 2 or 3 bosses that regularly give people trouble. This will probably change with the DLC, though, as DLC bosses in Souls games tend to be some of the hardest.

in fact weapons at 50str/base skl will be able to reach much higher ar with 2 heavies instead of 27s depending on the str scaling, naturally stuff like the kirk only need one but a saw cleaver and the stake benefit a lot from 2

Twinking in Souls is one of my fondest memories.
I used to Cheat Engine items in DS2 and change my name so I could do cosplay invades in Bastille. Shit was so cash, I used to cosplay as a Dragon Shrine guard and have one of my friend do the same so once in a while, we'd find ourselves dueling in some newbie's world that'd be bewildered at two people with nearly identical names and appearance fighting to death.

Twinking in DaS3 was harder but with full estus and some weapons with good base damage (raw ASS for example) you could really tear a new asshole to overconfident noobs with their two phantom escorts. It was harder but also much more rewarding to cleave through phantoms after phantoms, taunting the host after each kill. Damn, I think I'm going to reinstall it.
