How the fuck do people deal with p5 Telos on higher enrages, I use my shield for revenge eflect combo and it takes fucking forever to kill goems, usually i have to run to beam with cade or else I get hit with 650's every tick and most of the time they still arent killed for the charger so I have to run back, kill the last few and by the time I do that, Telos is already lifting the bomb. Thinking of getting one, but I already have decent perks on my Ascensions and since their components are useless I'd probably keep them. HOLY SHIT

The Death a Chivalry just sold this game to me.

I've never been so overwhelmed in a quest before. So much freaking detail, man!

The quest itself was cool. The story was fantastic, but more importantly, I HAD CHOICES!

I could kneel before the god, stay standing, or be a dick to him. That was the first thing that stood out. No other MMO to my knowledge gives you that little choice when an important character shows up. This caught me by surprise to begin with.

Then, the infiltration of the black knight's castle. DEAR GOD YES! Having to actually make meaningful choice in what I said to the NPCs that stopped me was AMAZING!

And the choice to kill that one black knight at the top floor! It was completely meaningless, but leaving him alive let me FEEL like it was important.

And that freaking boss fight! Holy shit! I'm combat level 16, in Iron armor, and I LOVED IT!

And then getting the key to open the journal! It meant nothing as far as gameplay goes, but the fact that I got the key off of her body and then could read the journal as a non-direct reward for beating her was an awesome detail!

And the skull! I found the bones under the captain's bed the first time I went into the room, and noticing the skull was missing made me think "Oh, I'll have to find the skull and put it back because of something the quest will have me do."

NOPE!

It was just a little tucked away detail that was just there because of the Skull of Remembrance! You actually get to see where the skull came from. And, on top of that, you read about it in the journal!

It's 1:30 in the morning. I'm buying membership when I wake up. And probably some keys so I can keep the skins I have as appearance items.

In the process of creating the various dimension/planets of the multiverse (they went with both, planets in microverses), they created 12 artifacts.

All "gods", with the exception of two, Zaros and Seren, are the result of mortal beings who either a) killed another god with an elder artifact of b) sat next to one for a long time. Elder artifacts are like magical nuclear reactors, just being near one of the greater ones has a powerful effect, and after a long while it turns you into a god. Some gods are ascended members of their own race, others are a different species entirely.

Most of them are just strong individuals. Top tiers can blow up continents and marginally alter lifeforms. Below those just have divine magic that separates them from just being top tier mortals.

Elder gods above the top tier gods, being the true deities of the universe, practically immortal to anything aside from their rebirth cycle.

It's implied there is some backstory to how they're created but jamflex is fucking around with lore recently.

Back to religion, consider it similar to modern day worshipping.

Elder gods are a half dozen extremely huge beings with about as much intelligence as a child who made all the planets and then went to sleep. Zaros and Seren are dolls made to keep the most retarded elder god entertained. All the other gods are basically really cool magicians. Something else made the elder gods but we'll never ever find out what because the plot has to have a cutoff for the starting point.

Legacy combat is a lot weaker, so you're definitely going to have to use revo at least.
And getting used to the new interface would probably help in the long run, but isn't completely necessary, you can use the new combat systems with the legacy interface.

Quest wise, just do whatever.

quests still offer some of the greatest quality of life improvements out of anything else in the game. things like rushing waterfall arent quite as necessary as they used to be, though getting a head start is genuinely helpful more often than not.

as far as the legacy combat thing goes, i would actually suggest using it if youre on a fresh account. in eoc, you hit a monster by using an ability. these abilities are unlocked at certain levels in their respective skill, meaning that at low levels you have very few abilities. by having so few abilities, your damage per minute is very low and you wont have a very fun time starting out. legacy combat however is near identical to pre eoc, meaning that your damage is adjusted to match your level and gear exactly, making it higher dpm at low levels.
