Hound and Wyvern are all they need now.
Both are searchable by catapult and geartown, and revivable with Fortress and Reborn. Both search each other as well. Once the meta slows down they'll be a definite threat.

You can always try something like this. But do note that if your opponent can't have S/T's if you want to use it to trigger Geartown. But on an empty field like if you're going first or whatever, it works just fine and it can trigger all Ancient Gear cards, and Metalfoe cards.

The way it only works if you don't have any monsters makes me doubt it but I added it since I wanted to try it out. It's neat that you can keep on re-using it, but my gut tells me that if they can get rid of your monsters they could probably get rid of your trap too. Lastly, it's a trap. You can't even set it after Wyvern.
I am thinking the trap is kind of shit honestly. If I wanted to play revival I would probably consider something like Magnet Reverse to revive Devils instead.

Level Eater was an actual good ban though. It singlehandedly enabled Dark Synchro and Dark Synchro was (and still is at least in TCG) a cancerous handlooping deck that was rapidly picking up steam. Only synchro apologists think Level Eater was a dumb hit, a card that can special summon itself a near infinite amount of times it bad card design no matter how you slice it.
