Stagger is passive. 35% of damage taken is divided by 10 seconds. With ironskin brew it's 40%.

But let's pretend the tank you're talking about never uses ironskin brew for the sake of the argument you are trying to make here.

Even if that were the case, once their stagger reaches "yellow", they just hit one button: purifying brew. 50% of all the damage they just received over the last 10 seconds is erased and they're back to light stagger.

One button.

Button.

If the brewmaster you're describing is so fucking stupid that he can't press ONE button when his stagger hits yellow, then yes, the healer probably starts to feel the heat and there could be a wipe.

But all he has to do is press a single motherfucking button and that will literally never happen EVER.

i find playing healer so incredibly bad

i have to chase the team around and heal them all the time
i can't even look away for one second without someone dying, i can't even have a break at trash. non-stop dungeon run at the speed that others pace me at.
and this isn't fun at all. i'm rushing around to do something i don't want to do, effectively missing everything worthwhile in the dungeon.

i can't even bare to play a hybrid class because i'll probably have to heal at some point

i don't blame the lack of healers in the lfg system, this is by design an abysmal experience.
other people get to actually play the game and see the world, but the healer must watch bars go up and down instead of experiencing the environment.
the tank and dps players see a dragon breathing fire, a healer sees 5 to 40 little green bars go up and down.
and it's impossible to look elsewhere because it requires constant and absolute attention.

they've worked hard at changing the dps experience to be reactive to procs and so on, but since vanilla healers have been a mundane boring task.

this is the blunder of world of warcraft.

any balance druids here? preparing for emerald nightmare so im doing some last minute sims/tests

it seems like for aoe heavy fights haste scales incredibly, but for single target it seems like haste to a cap then crit..

my issues is deciding between astral communion and blessing of elune, i did some short 3 minute tests with either, single target dummies, using fury of elune etc, and everything that happened goes against what i read

it seems that i can maintain foe long enough for it to be worth it on single target but i was doing a dungeon with another balance druid yesterday and she wiped my ass on trash, but she's mastery heavy and crit haste are near equal so it might just be stats. i beat her on the bosses by a good amount, tho.

any advice?

Warlocks were perfectly fine up till WotLK, their damage was fine and people only cried about their cc. The same cc that hid their weakness as a mostly immobile turret.

If a class is less fun and engaging to play now than it was in WotLK, then there is a serious fucking problem with it's design.

Look at Shadow Priests. What has changed in their core? Nothing. They're still a DoT caster with a few nukes on cooldown. But it was expanded and built upon with the Insanity mechanic, making them feel familiar to returning and old players. Their mechanic is very simple, and yet has nuances and with clever use of abilities can be used to reach extreme efficiency.
So it was possible to not fuck a spec up completely and keep it engaging, simple and with some depth, yet familiar and easy to pick up.

Now look at Warlocks.

MoP Destro was my favorite version barring CR. Spec felt complete, embers were great, you had options for everything. CB hit like a truck. It was a great time all around. Then Legion rolls around and guts all functionality into talents because CLASS FANTASY AND CHOICES THAT MATTER(please don't notice you can easily swap things at rest areas or tomes :) )

Demonology is even better.

Affliction is boring and slow but even it can pull decent damage numbers.
The real issue is that Seed of Corruption cast-time is too long and has an additional delay.
What they could do is reduce Seed of Corruption cast-time to 1.5 seconds or make it instant and give Affliction a rain of Chaos type spell which instantly explodes Seed.

I play Destro, I know damage-wise I am fine, any Warlock worth their salt doesn't complain about numbers at all, they complain about how bumfuck retarded the design choices were for them that are active leaps back in terms of design. None of the specs feel great to play, but are functional. Its bar none the most frustrating class in the game right now because you have no other options, all 3 have huge issues.
