I play whm, so I can't exactly speak from your position, but I understand your predicament. I don't become the perfect healer after the first or second or sometimes even the fifth run. I take my time in learning when is the best time to heal and when to dps. At the end of the day, if you're able to keep everyone alive and be aware of all the mechanics, I feel like as a healer you'll be better off than a dps or tank whose spent the same amount of time running with you

Yeah it gets much easier once you've tried it on a dummy, potd doesn't really give you much of a chance.
Once back in astral ice with bliz 3 you can pop a thunder as a filler or a thunderstorm proc and then bliz 4 will refresh enochians duration base time -5 seconds each conescutive time, so 25 sec, 20 sec then your next time round normal enochian should be off cd to put a 30s duration one up again. I don't personally use flare myself unless aoeing.
My opener on blm looks like this - sharpcast, quelling strikes, ley lines, fire 1, raging strikes enochian, fire 3 from proc, fire 4 fire 4 fire 4 swiftcast fire 1 convert fire 4 fire 4 (fire 3 if proc) blizard 3, thunder, blizard 4
into normal rotation -> fire 3 fire 4 fire 4 fire 1 fire 4 fire 4 fire 1 bliz 3 thunder(storm) bliz 4 back into fire with either fire 3 or sharpcasted fire 1 followed by proc
