It's that time again, /fgg/. Time to play a bunch of dead kusoges (and some not dead kusoges) and watch as people gloat because they're the only people that still play that dead game.

>Points System
This time we'll be assigning a point value to the top 8 finishers in each tournament. The player with the most points at the end of the series will be declared Kusoge King.

1st - 32 points
2nd - 16 points
3rd - 8 points
4th - 4 points
5th/6th - 2 points
7th/8th - 1 point

The man with the most points will be allowed to ban 1 game from the next season's lineup.

-In the event of a controller malfunction or any other event that disrupts the match the responsible player must forfeit the round. If no player can be determined at fault replay the set with the score before the malfunction.

Not really. Not too crazy about it, but it has some really interesting gameplay concepts. The artstyle is very hit or miss and it generally lacks of personality from a visual perspective.

The soundtrack is probably the best OST in a fighting game over the past 10 years, though. Especially the two former seasons with Mick Gordon behind it.

About every month I boot up KoF13 and try to complete some character trials. After I fail I go eat some junk food and mope around.

Nah man, practicing sub characters is fun. One more thing I forgot to mention is you should work on converting stray hits like mashed lights into combos, but that's hard even for really good players. Also maybe do that ex projectile thing into v skill in order to keep your pressure going, your style seemed a little too passive at times.

You can use it in neutral and it's a godlike meaty tool.
It covers a specific area but it covers it amazingly and should be used to condition your opponent. In closer ranges like midscreen to footsies range it should be used to threaten whiffed pokes.
And it can be canceled into rolls to scare your opponent.
It's less effective if your opponent has a traditional fireball but it's still the most versatile and useful fireball in the game.

How do we save SFV gameplay-wise? I think most of the issue this game has are by design and can't simply get fixed with some simple tweaks here and there.

Even the 8f input lag seems to be intentional, if you look at some moves from specific characters. Without the 8f input lag Birdie's EX Dolphin Dive would've been pretty easy to react and so could've been Nash dashes. I know Combofiend said that the 8f input delay weren't intentional, but I don't trust that guy. He's the same person that said the day-1 release would've been different from the beta we played some months before the game officially came out. He's really good at spreading lies. Also every game he helped balancing since SFxTK seems to have wonky hitboxes and weird stuff going on. USFIV included.
