It's about the usefulness he brings to a party. He's not the strongest, but he has skills that are extremely beneficial. Crits, defense and offense skills for the team is always loved, and his NP brings more extra damage.

Yeah, I agree 100% that he is probably one of the top three best servants in the game, I just don't need to use him. This game is easy enough that I can beat it using only servants I like/my favorite servants. Thats what I play this for anyways, so I can play with my favorites, I don't care how good or bad some servants are in game.

And even then, you're still overstating it. She has no trouble whatsoever charging her NP and her other two skills make it hit as hard a sit needs to. The issue is that the game heavily favors single-targets and will continue to do so until they add more missions with multiple high-HP enemies like the Camelot knights. Complaining that AoE are mostly for clearing out grunts is not a complaint about that Servant, it's a complain that goes for just about any AoE damage-focused Servant.

Enemy servant shows up, doesn't immediately recognize solar night, set up bounded field so he can't escape (Leo has such a bounded field), fight and beat them, repeat
Change strategies up to play on your strength. Only danger is luring out each servant before the contest is over in different ways.

I just said change the strategy up on demand, and you can't let enemies escape once you enact this plan, which is why you need some sort of bounded field. They can't know your name or abilities, they can't escape with that info, or they won't want to challenge you in this condition. If you use your trump card, make sure it kills. Bounded field makes sure they can't escape until dead.
This plan mostly works if they underestimate you as an idiot looking for a fight, or an honor type servant. Considering they are heroes, this is a real potential you would see in a grail war, HONOR accepting his challenge and fighting to the death openly, except he's buffed to shit.
There are probably other ways to game the situation to force you to fight during the day, but Diarmund strategy seems decent so far.

There is absolutely no reason to bring either into the Bloodaxe/Tesla fights since there are no Casters in those and those the only fights with notable enemy Assassins. So no, they didn't. If someone brought a Rider to fight a Souleater or Assassin Dragon, they're just idiots. They're useless in that fight, especially as the boost is only fo attack, meaning they'd get shredded by double damage as usual.
