Personally I prefer the look of Guilty Gear more but it really just comes down to personal taste. I've played some Blazblue and liked it and might pick up CF eventually. But I just prefer the 90's anime style of GG a bit more. That and having a consistently amazing soundtrack.

I'll never understand why people find Vampire Savior hard to play. It's control scheme is incredibly simple with SF inputs, it's just hard to master because of the fast pace.

Well from what I know madscientist already has a full time programming job, which may also be why it's taking some time. I think part of the reason he accepted this is also that he likes melty, not sure he would accept to do this again for other games but i don't know him or anything so I can't really say anything about this matter. Still, you can't just count on that happening and I'm no programmer but I doubt you can just reuse the code just like that, I'm pretty sure every game would need new work done and ASW people clearly don't have the competences for this or they wouldn't be paying someone else to do it.

Also the only reason they did this for melty is that it sold a lot, like a lot above their expectations. It outsold BBCPEX on steam and that's one of their flagship games. They wouldn't have done this for any other game like uniel or arcana that sold a lot less.

Riot knows how to make fun games and because of their acquisition of the RT team, it's guaranteed to have good netcode too.

Western developers take pride in their work and obsess about all the small stuff so you can expect an extrely fun, extremely polished game at launch.
