I'm trying to figure out when the massive waves of reinforcements shows up in Sakura's chapter. One anon suggested that they showed up once you beat Yukimura. One place I read said they show up once you're NEAR Yukimura. And then I also wonder if Sakura hitting the DV has anything to do with it.

I wonder if it'd be better to keep all of my units together by using GS to fit everyone on the left. Is that something to try? I'll have to deal with the confinement of the walls, but everyone's together, and I found a good way to lure out Hana and thin down her Blacksmith and Oni Chieftain forces.

That being said I do agree about Corrin, I thought Robin's special snowflake status was annoying but Corrin reaches entire new levels of snowflakery not to mention male Corrin is ugly as fuck to the point where super special powerups literally throw themselves at him.

Remember that in games like FE7, Hector LITERALLY ACCEPTED A DEATH CURSE to gain the power he needed to beat Nergal. I can only imagine how this scene would play out with a character like Corrin in modern day.

Hardly, all Chrom contributes to the story past Chapter 11 or so is grunts and angry looks. He may as well have been a Nyna archetype for how relevant he was (and even then Nynas like Elincia still did more), and he still got his dick sucked plenty.

He's still better than Corrin though I'll give you that, but for me that's like choosing between a punch in the face and Chinese Water Torture.

The only problem with close range is that I'd fear for Niles's safety at close range. The only things I'm comfortable with Niles taking hits from are Onmyojis (since Niles has rather high Res) and maybe Master Ninjas (especially with Shurikenbreaker).

I want to say that Shining Bow can also be used to hit enemy Snipers at close range, but the only Snipers that come to mind are the ones in Takumi's map and they have Counter.

I am curious how you'll deal with the Master Ninjas in Ryoma's chapter though. On Hard mode I had Niles with Shurikenbreaker and he was actually able to dodge tank them. I'm on Lunatic now and I feel like that's going to be more essential than ever, especially with Inevitable End, as well as the Maids in the upcoming chapters.

I already have a plan for the Endgame Maids from hell: hit and run. As a Bow Knight Niles has more movement and could run down to a Maid, defeat her, then someone Rescues him back to safety (I have not used a single Rescue rod yet, I'm saving it all for Endgame), refresh with Azura and rinse and repeat (as I should have another Staffer). Shurikenbreaker should also help him dodge the Maids daggers so he can avoid being debuffed from them.

You don't even need to give her Paragon. With proper kill set-ups she can reach up to level 6 from her paralogue. This is without a Cupid Bow. You can do her paralogue before chapter 8 where Niles join. He'll be 2 levels above her and will probably contribute more since that map is filled with Mages (she can still help with the physical enemies) but she can contribute more than him in chapter 9 because of the amount of Spear Fighters/tankier enemies in that chapter. After thay both of them should be set for chapter 10 and enjoy the amount of EXP from killing those fliers. Mozu will have better hitrates and damage output but she won't be able to travel as far as he does because of the lack of Mov +1. Position them accordingly.

In my two runs with Odin, he turned out to be a monster and okay-ish.

The monster was when I made him a Dread Fighter.

The Okay-ish was when I reclassed him to Samurai and went Trueblade > Sorcerer > Dark Knight. He ended up with Sword/Tomefaire, Vantage, Vengeance, and Lifetaker. As a Samurai/Trueblade he barely got any strength and mostly got Magic level ups.

So if you change classes and level up, do you gain any skills that you would have gained from previous levels?
Like lets say I change someone at level 16 and they go to 17, would they gain the level 15 skill from the new class?

In Fates yeah, they learn all the skills from the line they switch to. So if you switch to say Sorcerer you'll learn the two dark mage skills first and then the two sorc skills.

Hmm, I see. I had a bit of difficulty removing the Mechanists on the Shuriken launchers because I was too apprehensive to get close in fear of calling upon the massive waves of reinforcements.

I beat the chapter now. What I did was I had my eastern team prepare themselves for the Automatons that spawned (so they basically camped near that fort). They had the easiest time since the Automatons were weak, one of the Falcon Knights was killed on counterattack (thanks to the Hunting Knife), and the other three were quickly taken care of, plus I also had Azura to refresh. Two Onmyojis chased me down there and, again, easy pickings for Kaze.

The western team was where I nearly rage quit and almost lost. First off, I had some units hold the northwestern forts which I think prevented some enemies from spawning. Then, one of the paired up Onmyojis (that spawned from the northeastern forts) started heading west. So I had that pair of Onmyojis, the Oni Chieftain/Onmyoji pair that spawned from Sakura's room, and all of the Oni Chieftains and Blacksmiths and Mechanists, all hunting me down. It was... pretty intense, honestly. I had to retreat a bit to give me a bit of breathing room because of all of the paired up units. But I prevailed. By the end there was just one Oni Chieftain left... and in a foolish move, I accidentally misclicked and moved Felicia to Rally and left her in range. Felicia was weakened from the Shuriken launchers always aiming for her, so this one hit could have killed her. But she dodged it at a 67% chance. I quickly took care of the Oni Chieftain and then moved along... almost breathing a sigh of relief.

Then a random Mechanist spawned in Sakura's room, but I took care of him. Other highlights include Xander getting a very lucky Critical against Hana, which was really nice especially considering his shaky hit rate against her. Leo also helped out a lot by aiming at the low Res of the Blacksmiths. This map was only the beginning.

Does Corrin get a unique scene if he marries Scarlet in Rev before she dies? I remember that Awakening had a handful of those and I'd be really disappointed if they didn't include something like that, especially after the changes they included to differentiate Nohr Kana and Hoshido Kana somewhat.

Basically a unit that can heal and fight effectively? I wouldn't count on it, honestly. I'd focus on having a healer first and foremost. And if my healers aren't healing, then they're positioned in certain ways to Rally and have aura buffs (boosting damage given and reducing damage taken within a certain radius). If they can so happen to attack while being positioned that way and not take damage, then great. I use Elise too, as well as Felicia. Outside of some chip damage they can do (to soften enemy units up from a distance if needed), they're always on healing duty, and if not that, then they're Rallying to help reduce magical damage taken, or positioned in ways so Elise's personal or Felicia's Inspiration can help everyone else. Plus you'd have to work up their Tome rank which starts at a paltry E.

However... I know one anon earlier in the thread seems to use Niles as both a fighter and a healer. Somehow it can work, but personally I wouldn't count on it. If there's anything I could suggest though, it's that you'll run into a fair amount of enemies with rather low Res (Blacksmiths and Heroes for instance) to pick on, so those can be potential targets for Elise, should you try to use her as a fighter as well.
