My computer was in that state a while ago, I know what that's like. There's still games though, if your PC is good enough for videos then there's still plenty from the library of classics. There's stuff like roguelikes, Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup, that sort of thing that can be run very minimally. My favorite of those is Alphaman, that one runs in DOS, you might like it, it's post-apocalyptic and has a lot of neat stuff.
Or you could always get an SNES or PS1 emulator or some other system and dig through those classics.

Sim City 4 is probably my favorite, that's where that other screenshot I posted came from. That one's pretty easy to run, too, with some lag but it matters less in a game like that. That might be worth a try. If not that, maybe something like SimCity 3000 or Pharoah, old classics in smooth 2D. I have a soft spot for Utopia as well, it's really old but really solid.
Sorry that ran a bit long, I have lots of experience around a potato PC as I said.

Make sure you tweak the visual options carefully, there's a lot of extra graphical stuff that can be cut out entirely if it's needed for performance.

Thank you so much! Haha, well, see, it developed from a thought I had. For some reason, I'm kinda under the impression that everybody at Yamaku comes from families that are pretty well off. Hisao's two parents both work full time, and everybody else's family that we meet is upper class, besides Emi's mom but that's a different beast to classify.
Actual spoilers!!
I thought of many different ways to get Hisao to Scotland, even having him and Kenji steal a plane, but with the bonus of Kenji being there too.
It was actually ON a plane that I determined that this wouldn't work, and that I'd need an excuse for Hisao, who had not taken his medication, and had a very very rough day, to be able to fly on a vessel with changing pressures, which would obviously affect his heart. The smoothness of a private jet, mixed with the know how of a person that did this frequently enough to have something like sleeping pills on them, made for the funny idea that the nearly blind kid was learning to fly planes.
There's more story to Kenji as well as Mr. Alexander than meets the eye, and we'll be sure to expand on those characters sometime in the future ;) Remember, every detail matters. Chekhov's gun may already have been shown, as we near the end of Act 1.
