A better idea might be Artefact Ancient Gear. Ignition doesn't make Geartown miss it's timing. Both of them can run Back the Cook and you can run Ritual Sanctuary to recover Geartowns.

Ideas I have on my own own is a another Hero subarchtype that combines
Marvel Superheroes and the LOTR trilogy(with The Silmarillion). Call them Magic Heroes or something.

Diamond Dire Wolf can fix alot of this actually. Gadget+Wyvern into Dire gives you the search for Catapult/whatever while Wolf can trigger Fortress or Town or just pop a card while clearing himself away for Caapult

Storm is decent with the Metalfoe cards. And since it can also under the right situations activate the Ancient Gear cards too, then that's not too bad.

Double Cyclone just isn't enough since a certain level of S/T removal is needed. And if I want to run Twin Twisters for such a purpose I would need to slim down on something else instead. Storm is a surprisingly effective compromise. It does serve the purpose of the highly needed S/T removal, while also being able to trigger Metalfoe Combination/Fusion, and the Ancient Gear cards.

It's not terrible. I can do things like play my Metalfoes. Play storm. Grab new Metalfoes from the popped Combinations while the opponent lost all their S/Ts. And then hopefully go ham on the opponent with my Ancient Gears. That said, I do get that Storm is something of a janky card and not exactly the hottest shit. But until we get more support this is what I am trying out.

Storm destroy your scale.
Most of the time, you only need to destroy 1 of your S/T, which is where Double Cyclone excel at.
Twin Twister is -1 if you use it to destroy Geartown, meanwhile Double Cyclone is +0.

Geartown miss-timing with Storm is also a big minus.
And you don't desperately need S/T removal with Fortress and AG Armades effect though.

It kind of sucks since you can't activate both Fortress and Geartown at the same time with Storm. But you can activate Geartown provided your opponent doesn't have S/Ts yet. And if you go second and they do, then you play your Metalfoes and destroy their field. And then you use your Metalfoe to pop Geartown.

And to go back to the topic of Double Cyclone and Twin Twisters, that's somethng they're terrible at. Double Cyclone outright can't be used turn 1. And using a Twin Twister to just detroy your own card just isn't good.

Storm can destroy your opponent's field. While also being able to activate your Ancient Gear cards as I initially stated. But yeah. A popped Combination grabs you a Metalfoe that you can use to pop Geartown properly.

When I got back into this game, the first thing I noticed was that it no longer felt like a game of chess. Instead, it became a game of go first, swarm the field, win. There was no turn three or four, and I didn't at all like the direction this game was going. People became far too dependent on "special summoning", so this made me wonder what would happen if I remove that option from them. Thus, once I made an Anti-special summoning deck, the game became so much better again. If your deck relies on one thing and isn't flexible to deal with other things, then you deserves to lose.

So they say stun is unfair, but they feel that summoning 5 monsters turn 2, putting 2 xyzs on the field that will probably pop your field, and otking the opponent is completely fine. See this is why the community is bad. They'll steal abd rip you off and bitch and cry when their tier 0 decks gets bopped.

It works if you open another Metalfoe or combination.
Though I can admit that most of the time I just aim to summon Naturia Beast by special summoning a Wyvern and searching a 001. And the best thing is that since Gear Box is both a machine and level 4, if you pendulum summon it afterwards using another level 4 machine, you can special summon 001 from the graveyard afterwards allowing you to go into Trishula.

But yeah. Using storm on your scale doesn't seem that terrible to me. You get one back so you're not really any worse off than when you started. And it allows you to safely make Geartown or Fortress plays afterwards even if you can't pendulum summon. But as you said. If you summon Reactor Dragon and use its effect on Combination. You can easily make the pendulum summon for a Naturia Beast or Trishula even if it would be your main phase 2. But Naturia Beast or Trishula are highly worth it if you ask me though, even if you don't gun for an OTK.

If a powerful deck such as ABC can't get around cards like mistake, vanity's etc., the floodgates should not get banned because it's not the floodgates that are toxic. The ABC player should try to get around such cards. This was a yugioh mechanic used in ancient times called SKILL. Going back and forth between you and your opponent and countering each other's moved no longer exists. Now the game has evolved into a bitch fest about what should get hit on the next list.
