So I had a match in third strike where I kept getting blown up by anti air shoryukens. Eventually I decided "what if I just parry it?" Keeping in mind that I suck at parrying. I jump at him a few times to make him dp and party it, and he loses all his composure, and I win the match.

How do I shimmy with FANG? I feel like every time I try it, I'm either too close, and they throw me, or I'm too far away to punish in time. I also feel like I've hit a skill ceiling. The gameplay problems with SFV are deep rooted into its design. You are out of your fucking mind if you think Capcom is going to spend a significant amount of money that's required to really meaningfully change the game. Season 2 is going to consist of surface level balance changes and 6 new characters, that's it. They aren't going to make any massive system changes like they did in past SF games, they aren't going to fix the netcode, they aren't going to "fix" the input lag, etc.

Don't try to put the blame on the game when us internet is at fault. I usually have 1 or 2 frames of delay when I play people from my country. With eu folks I get 4 or 5 which is still fine because you can change input delay offline and trainboar with it. In CF, Arakune, Amane, and possibly Bang are the only ones I can really say for sure. Rachel has some really high damage combos in the corner and such though, so take your pick there.

The rest of the list relies on opening people up frequently instead and getting a ton of damage through seperate combos, with Izayoi being the standout example. Arakune is the one who fits what you said best though, since he gets the most ridiculous damage off with Curse combos.
