install the old hero model mods as you usually would, and then do nothing. let them not work.
then queue for a game.
when you get in-game, close dota, and add -vpk_override, or whatever the command is, to your launch options, then reopen dota and reconnect to your game.
this worked when they made it so that -vpk_override prevents you from matchmaking, but i'm not sure whether or not it works these days.

Omniknight isn't that hard to counter, but he works great in pubs because pub scrubs always blow their loads ASAP and can't afford to retreat and reengage.

Plus, GA is only for physical damage and his Repel actually takes skill to make the most out of. So if you have good magical damage you can fuck his allies ez, and magic damage is how ez mode heroes usually deal damage.

So let's talk about Monkey King. Some guy did this same post on playdota or something but big daddy PSG gonna do it for you here, because I'm smarter than that guy anyway. However I'm also stealing most of his points.

Several of the Dota 1 monkey king's abilities were reworked into PL. Based on the trailer and other hints, we clearly have some new stuff going on.

Hint 1: Emoticharm
Given out to some TI6 attendees, the emoticharm shows MK transforming from a tree into himself. This is probably a bastardization of the lore in which MK can transform his staff into different things-- they gave him a shapeshifting ability too. I agree with the other guy's analysis that this is a sub-ability. Jumping through trees is heavily focused in the trailer. So we know Monkey King's Q

>Monkey King can jump x distance into trees. He can jump more than once/longer distance at higher levels (probably more than once). When he reaches the jump/distance limit he shapeshifts into the last tree he lands on, removing the tree. If the tree is quelling bladed, tangoed, etc he is revealed.

Second skill is an obvious STEROID to borrow a term from another gayme. This heavily features in the original Chinese mythology- Monkey King can make his Bar near-infinitely long, wide, dense, etc. He can basically manipulate the matter of the MKB at a godlike level. He's been nerfed a little here, as it looks like he'll get a buff like...

Here's the E, they couldn't have given a more obvious indication that this is an in-game skill. This one seems to embody the core of his original Dota 1 alpha design. However, there are a couple very important things to notice

The skill may be channeled. MK holds his pose for several seconds, and three illusions come out in a first "wave", followed by two more. Their number quickly swells to nine in the next shot, and after that the screen is flooded with them. Is this his ultimate? It's very likely that he can create a whirlwind of illusions that run straight forward while attacking, and if these illusions strike you, there is a chance you will be forced to turn around.

Second, this is probably just for visual effect but...MK's staff dissolves into the air when he spins out his clones, and he is temporarily seen without any weapon at all. It's a possibility that using this skill disarms the player for a few seconds while the illusions are on the screen.

So that leaves us with...Either a missing skill or a missing ultimate. Monkey King absolutely does not have two passives. They are not interested in making more boring-to-play heroes. Note that like 5 fucking heroes had a second passive removed in the past 18 months or so.

No idea what it will be, but I do have a very interesting thought for this character-- Because he is shown wielding the MKB by default, he probably has some kind of bonus from the MKB in-game, or perhaps it's cheaper for him, etc. These things could not be done in WC3 engine. My inclination is that his clones will hit with the full effect of MKB if you have MKB. MKB is probably the item in the game that does not have a "home"-- it's fully situational item that is pretty much always built in response to enemy heroes, not for its own sake. Why not give it a "home" with the hero who it directly relates to anyway?

Oh, and here's perhaps the best part: In the trailer, MK emerges from the Dire side at the beginning. We know he'll be a Dire hero because he is basically Satan in Chinese mythology. However, if you pay attention, you'll notice that the Dire ancient is sitting on top of a fucking big ass hill? Later, we see the Radiant ancient on flat ground. We're getting some kind of new map.

If you like the music in the MK trailer, it is called Kecak, and it was invented by a British man to give Indonesian islanders a crazy ritual to do in order to make money from tourists. Can't make this shit up.

Enchantress can be played two ways, depending on whether you make heavy or occasional use of creeps. Well she is not the best farmer that is true but you can still enchant creeps and clear junge stacks that way.
You can also buy a midas or maelstrom situationally.
A big problem is getting overzealous after dominating the lane and a good early game, which leads to giving up farm, trying to collect more "free" kills and in reality just ending up feeding once or twice because there were more enemies than expected. Be careful with that god-complex.

Memedrops fuck him up too hard tho and with shift to tanky cores he doesn't kill everyone faster than they kill you. Leshrac in not a bad hero, he is just out of meta and needs buffs for his survivability.

Well, cus he would dumpster any mid hard and just run at you while dealing shit loads of damage and with octameme he was basically timber before timber was cool. Don't disregard him, his stun AOE is giant at later levels and onces enemy bkb is low he with ocratine and shivas can run you down while absorbing all of your damage since he heals off constantly and god forbids there is a save for him like dazzle or ww.

Friend of mine is spamming 2 heroes cus he started losing mmr. Is still losing mmr.

Split earth wasn't nerfed
Bloodstone was nerfed first, then re-buffed and is a fine item again (see: timbersaw)
New bloodstone with 12 starting charges gives basically infinite mana for ult (pro tip: leave ult at lvl 1 and save the skillpoints for efficiency)
