I fucking tired of this shit. Tonight has proven beyond any doubt that loot council is nothing more than nice euphemism (read: excuse) for whoring loot for the clique. Go look at the raid loot spreadsheet and you'll find the large majority of gear always going to the same fucking people.

A loot council would be fine; a system that prioritizes equitable, but optimal distribution of loot for progression would be fine - heck we could even make a spreadsheet with all the separate classes and a well layed-out system for prioritizing loot based on current needs and attendance.

But we get this fucking opaque system of last-minute decisions that breeds distrust and ultimate results in nepotism, favoritism, and idiotic loot distribution because the leaders are basically idiots who have no idea what they are actually doing. They just put on a good show based on what they think they are supposed to do (Read: Glurf and his unfunny insults all the time).

Fix this system; make it a transparent, understandable loot council system of distribution; or, if you can't do that, switch to a fair system of dkp. If you don't change your fucking ways soon, you won't have a vg guild to raid BWL/ZG/AQ40 with in a few months. Maybe that's your goal, though, to gear yourselves up and switch to normie guilds when Nihilum inevitably falls apart.

The loot distribution falls under the class leaders who just decide who gets the loot themselves by keeping track of the gear of the other members of said class

There is no council of people arguing who gets what don't be dumb, it's just 1class leader making the calls for the loot of his own class with a predetermined priority list on his head that might or might not have been discussed with his class members, I'm not sure how mage/Warlock loot distribution works but warrior/Hunter/rogue/healers loot is pretty simple to understand, the class leader does whatever they want, which isn't necessarily a bad thing

Infamy made some arguably bad calls lately, but his loot distribution has been solid so far
Qlurf gives loot who whoever he sees fit, which can be total bullshit from some points of view seeing that he tries to scrutinize
Warrior loot goes to main tanks or fury warriors but all fucking fury warriors went awol
Hunter loot seems to be scarce outside of T2 so it all falls under enemy on how to distribute it
Warlocks mages and bossnova fight over loot, can a caster give their opinion on how caster distribution is working?

So far the system seems pretty clear to me, no actual corruption outside what seems to be the core getting most of the loot

I played on nost but very casually, only got to level 45ish on a paladin. Leveled slow but had fun and made some friends.
I tried out Elysium and it's fine, but i don't know enough specifics to know if it's worse/better than k2 and population seems more important. I wasn't playing with anyone here, in case that kind of thing matters.
What are the raid times for the alliance guild on k2? Is the horde guild real or a meme? Is there any room for leveling fags in your guild or does that not matter?
And last question: Is pvp as bad on k2 as the wowservers subreddit says? I always see it talked about but lack the knowledge or experience to know what is real and what is shilling/countershilling.

I played real vanilla but i'm probably too old for you guys now, and have family/job so can't neet it up... tho sometimes I wish. Sucks.

4chan guilds suck because most of the players in them are bad. A clique then invariably forms from the few good players in the guild being sick of the bad players fucking up.
This ends up alienating the rest of the guild. People stop showing up and the guild fails because as superior in skill the clique may think they are they still need bodies to fill the raid.

I got to level 20 or so but was guildless and friendless so wasn't very motivated to continue. I mean, it seemed ok, just was pretty dead at NA evening times and that's the only time I can really play.

I thought Elysium was fine but the NA pop seems very low. When I play it's around 400-600 people and only starts getting more if I stay up very very late. Not impossible to play of course but everywhere feels empty, barely any pvp, and pretty difficult to find groups for elites or even dungeons, depending on level range of course. Could be different at 60 but kind of feels like a waste of time, which sounds stupid considering it's ALL a "waste of time" anyhow.

I'm not shit talking the server or pro kronos, just saying the NA numbers aren't there, and it's not like I can skip work and live the neet life to force it to be funner.

Would also love paladin tips, focused mainly on surviving random ganks. Wouldn't mind shaman tips but I feel like shaman is a lot easier to not be fucked as long as I keep a shield vs rogues. My nost memories as a paladin are filled with mages or locks fucking with me at will, then sheeping/fearing and leaving if it wasn't going there way, and most everyone else ignoring me.

Im not in the guild, and most of those are pretty terrible, but in his defense I've played mage for like 10 years on and off (and have many "accolades" that I could bring out to prove I'm not some random shitter) and I had a very difficult time farming DME at first on this server. Its definitely more difficult than it was on retail and astronomically harder than it was on nost. The weird resists and terrible pathing make it quite tricky.

Although it only took me a couple hours of dying to figure it out and realize you have to change how you aoe quite a bit.
