I really don't know what to play. IA/VT is too easy. Taiko is too hard. Odin Sphere is fine, but the game is too repetitive and I got burnt out; it overstays its welcome for far too long, Muramasa was perfect in this regard. Sophie is boring, even with the cute girls. The gameplay loop is atrocious in comparison to pre-E&L games.

I guess it's time to sink back into Technika Tune or something.

Do parts just have a % chance to drop whenever they are destroyed or cut off in combat? For instance there was a Enemy Player that had an Red Astray sword backpiece and I kept trying to break it off and would succeed in doing so where it's on the ground but I would never get the item itself once I killed the enemy. I've been farming this guy for a good hour trying to make the backpiece break off where I can get the item and use it for myself. Hope that wasn't too confusing.

It's a bit different from that. From what I can tell, when you're fighting enemy players, they drop an assortment of parts. Some times it will be parts on their kit, sometimes it'll be random parts. Are you farming him on a higher difficulty? That might increase your chance of getting the piece you want. And is the backpack different from the normal Red Astray backpack? Cause you may already have it unlocked in the shop.

SD G Generation is basically the Gundam story. You can enjoy it if you've never seen the original show, but for maximum enjoyment value you should really watch the shows first, as there'll probably be Eater Eggs and references you won't really understand without having first seen the show. As to which shows, I'm not familiar with SD's lineup but generally speaking you really only need to watch the Original Mobile Suit Gundam, Zeta Gundam, Gundam ZZ and Char's Counterattack to be "up to date" on the Universal Century timeline.

Also something I just remembered, some parts don't drop from enemies, or have a ridiocusly low drop rate. This is because you're are supposed to derive the parts from other parts.

The best Example I can think of is the Zudah. It appears as an enemy in the very first mission, but getting parts to drop off it are next to impossible. It's because you're supposed to derive the Zudah parts from Zaku parts. So if you're having issues getting parts to drop, it may be because you're expected to use the derive system to craft them.

You can do some math while upsacling a image to make it look "better". It's just an approximation of what kind of pixels would be between the 2 actual pixels that we know the data of. Anti-aliasing is a similar method unless we are talking about super-sampling.
