I'm going through HW now just beat nidhogg and I gotta agree with this.

The way that the quests are structured, on top of the fucking huge size of the zones (so you're constantly running -to- new places instead of running to -and- from), makes it feel more like a regular RPG rather than an MMO.
I also like how the aether currents are placed in such a manner that you'll naturally pass by them as you do the MSQ. It adds to that sense of progression and "normal RPG" feeling.

Lets debate how Yoshi is going to simplify classes in 4.0. He said simplification and going to back to roots in their design, but that doesnt necessarily mean pruning skills. There might be more interaction between them or traits for example like "Iron Jaws now applies both effects to the target." instead of only refreshing it.

The reason they do it is because iron jaw would be way too strong on a level 5 archer but taking their dots away til level 50 something would be awful aswell. With at least 5 new skills and a 3sec gcd, frequently having to apply two dots would be a huge inconvenience. That being said i don't think they're changing it.

Nah, because had they just fixed them to one positional per combo finisher, you'd know beforehand. Even now, you know before the GCD is actually finished so you still move preemptively. It's not the biggest issue with Blood of the Dragon. Besides, given their intention to make rotations more mindless in the future, they'll probably dumb that down, too. They're already dumbing down auto attacking most likely to help people who keep turning away to move.

The actual problem with Blood of the Dragon is how tight it can get to maintain.

BLM started out worse than DRG did for maintaining Enochian vs how DRG maintains Blood. It took them changing Enochian for it to not suck. Before the change, even using the actual skill would reduce the duration of Enochian, so you had to let it drop off before you could use it. I have, read the first message again. The issue with Blood of the Dragon is how tight it gets to maintain. It still isn't comparable to the mess of 3.0 BLM Enochian where you had to let it drop because even the actual skill would reduce the duration below any reasonable amount. BLM has it easier NOW because you get a full duration from reusing Enochian, and you don't get the mandatory dropoff
