Can we take a moment to talk about the state of the game? There haven't been any substantial balance changes for months and they keep pushing cancer stats on new units in order to get more whale bucks.

This harkens back to the days where Lucian was the best GK even without an EE because he was able to stack crit resist more reliably than everyone else. Instead of just nerfing Lucian back then they decided to just throw CR on as many new defensive units as they could to 'even the field" and we're seeing the exact same situation play out here with Angela and their new pen resistance mechanic.

This sort of design philosophy can't be healthy for the longevity of the game and I'm worried that it's going to push more and more people to quit as their current strikers and gks are unable to keep up with the whale teams.

Angela only got strong after her EE, until there she was as shit as it could be. Also, Jin is still strong if not more than Angela now that he can choose which unique to use. Actually, most of the new players are shit, gaphyl is the exception.

Those were buffs to underperforming units and many of them are still going to be lackluster as backlines keep getting stronger, the arms race between gks and strikers has been like this for over a year now. Actual balance changes to units that are too good and on almost every team haven't gone through yet despite them being obviously overtuned for months now.

Meanwhile, Sharr, without critting, without help, does at least 1k damage consistently to BT and Jin, and with Elaine it's can ascend to 1.5k, and that's on the low end.
William may only do damage critting, but after a while he'll still do minimum 2k damage since he can use WoM now.
But yeah, ww has an "indestructible" backline, so it's ok, right?

As opposed to BTs that uses aces like Silk, Isillias take advatange of Silla ace, which gives her a huge DR on first shot, with players like Virgil, Chitose, BI, that can heal/generate spirit, and Latios strikers, she can easily get into Silla ace range again.

Also, BT has barely over 100% CR at the beginning of the game, only after Silk full stacks + active, and BT active that she can get with 250%~ CR, but it takes a lot of time, I don't see them get that much on auto.

My Vonchi doesn't have much trouble against any GK, unless it's a well built backline with something alike EBM Kevin or Jin + another CR buffer like Silk.

I think it's all about making coherent decisions to make your backline good.

There is a major difference between theorycrafting and how the game is actually played. The presence of Virgil and BI does not guarantee shit for Isillia. They need to act and have spirit to be useful. Chitose only gives HP and DR vs thunder who will face fuck Isiillia anyway. Silla ace helps you survive a little longer vs mediocre shit but various strikers will still put Isillia below half through Silla ace.

If isillia gets buffed then vitos and lucid need buffs as they won't be able to handle her, Ravian is fine with a balmung on her.

the team relies on action bar advantage to keep the ball away from isillia, removing beth destroys that synergy

Well, you are obviously not maxing Isillias as a GK, so I don't get why you are complaining about her being weak, you sacrificed her survivability so that your frontline could get an advantage, to keep your enemy from shooting her. Imagine if that same Isillia now could easily tank 3~4 shoots? That's how many Angela tanks, and she needs a full backline backing that up.

You can't get the best everything, you need to sacrifice some stuff for others. The best example I can think of is the old Khirel GK team, it sacrificed 100% of their defense to get a fast and very powerful mid and frontlines.

I'm serious, look up Xperia 3 red blinking lights. Xperia has a problem that if you let the battery drain out, it may fuck it up, and it did because SS kills my battery faster than it can charge.
