Holy pally has zero ability to heal any significant aoe damage. Once you do light of dawn, you literally have to single target people and hope they magically stop taking aoe damage.

There's more than just ability chopping. There are some neato interactions with your artifact weapon and class on the broken island. Like if you're a Shaman you will see raging spirits on the mini map which you can sooth. Wearing the Fist of Ra-den will make air elementals in Stormheim friendly towards you. Arms warriors weapon causes every single dungeon and raid troll to piss in fear Because it was used to end the troll war. Ashbringer has a chance to instantly incinerate any non-elite and rare instantly.

Did you mainly play melee rogue or ranged? I mean the parallels are pretty obvious, you have melee Rogues in this game and ranged would be like Hunters.
If you liked Riftstalker you could try Monk or DH because they both have a lot of mobility like rogue tanks do in Rift.
Would not really recommend playing a Mage in WoW, they're pretty boring and are awful at soloing content, literally only viable in instanced group content.

Whenever I tank mythics as a prot pally I always out DPS our rets, but when my friend tanks and I have to go ret I do pretty respectable damage, almost never top dps, but typically second.

Even Cata to an extent IIRC, memory of the expac isn't the greatest but Warlocks were fairly middle of the pack throughout most of Cata except for Demo AoE being ridiculously good and making fights like Halfus a joke.

Wrath was a rough time for Locks too overall, mechanically and fun-wise the classes were okay but we struggled to keep up on a lot of encounters DPS-wise, we were good at Yogg 0 Watchers and that's about it. Only other time we had prominence was when we abused that trinket from one of the ICC 5mans that let us put up Corruptions with retarded amounts of Haste but that got hotfixed quickly. Past that you pretty much only brought one Lock to serious progression by the end because of the Demo group buffs, since our other two specs were outclassed by Arcane Mages hitting one button for the entire fight.

They have a thing that makes up to 20 targets take a lot of damage and each of those 20 targets also deal less damage to up to 6 other targets around them but it's only 3 charges and long cooldown between charges so if the trash pull is big and less than 10 seconds their DPS is huge. If it lasts longer though then it drops fast. Also this ability is talented and it competes with a very good single target damage talent in that tier.
