I didn't play Sims 3 much because of horrible performance on my toaster, and most of it was just vanilla and first addon. Then with all addons up to Pets it lagged even harder, so I dropped it even faster. All in all I didn't experienced much of Sims 3 goodies.

I've been busy playing Legion, so thats why I haven't been around to bump.

But its ok, this is usually how it goes, we pick up, then we get dead. We just gotta go into life support mode until it picks back up again.

TS3 has more content and open worlds but it runs like shit. TS4 is lacking in content but the sims and graphics look way better and it runs very well.

Sims 3 has lots and lots of content that you can't play because it constantly crashes.

Sims 4 has a tiny bit of content that you can play all you want because it never crashes.

Whichever one you pick you don't have much to play with. :^)

Like if you want loads of content but no crashing just go for TS2 honestly.

I think if someone were to make a mod that slowly changes the game's music to tuba variants depending on how high your selected sim's fat slider is, tumblrinas would lose their shit possibly harder than the outrage over the Baby BBQ mod. I've downloaded a few mods for a character and they all work perfectly except for the custom eyes i got

EA is putting fuck all into TS4 resource wise. Small dev team with too many effects designers and not enough programmers. So, hypothetical situation time.

It turns out the reason TS4 has sucked so bad was because EA was trying to test out the waters for TS5. Keep in mind that TS4 wasn't actually originally intended as a series sequel to begin with, it was proposed as a spinoff. EA releases a huge trailer for it showcasing that despite using the exact same graphics as TS4, TS5 brings back all the shit the fans complained about TS4 lacking (Open World, CASt, Toddlers, Cars, Firefighters, ect) and on top of it all even includes a few of the meat'npotatoes expansion stuff in the basegame, like weather, seasons, deeper generations, apartments, and cities.

Would you be too salty over TS4, or would you be excited as fuck for TS5?

Like, I'd go out /sometimes/ but for the most part I just liked watching my sims live their lives in the cute houses I build for them.

Only exception was Island Paradise.

The only thing that would make me certain to buy a Sims 5 would be a "grittiness." Much harsher aspects of life portrayed, not just making it a middle-class fantasy land. Homelessness, illness, genuinely nasty sims, etc. Realistic career paths (with some obvious creative liberties). But that would be against the spirit of the series.
