No dude, the damage counter brightness dims when your damage is being capped. When you're doing the maximum amount of damage possible to an enemy not including outside influences to your damage like buffs, it's white and yellow. When it's capped, it's grey and a dimmer shade of yellow.

Feel free to test it for yourself when the game comes back up. It's the reason you can't oneshot Y1 strike bosses at their lower level. Ever stopped to think why heroic strike bosses still need to be chipped away at despite being 70 light levels below you? Damage cap.

As someone who always uses GG in kings fall I can say this:
-Yes you can GG an ogre but so can two Sleeper shots
-GG'ing warpriest is good but its not that amazing,, you're better off with either Sleeper and a good sniper or Black Spindle
-in Golg its litteraly useless except for shooting down the orbs
-Its good for daughters but similar to War Priest. But it takes down about 3/5 to 2/3 of their HP per tethered shot IIRC
-and yes for Oryx the GG can one shot his chest but you do have to wait a second, and as for the shade its about 1/5 of its HP per untethered shot

The Ahamkara have the worms inside of them which is what grants them their reality bending abilities. But they are not bound by the same limitations like the Hive are, namely they don't fall prey to the inner hunger that will consume you if you don't act out your deepest ambitions.

That is the primary reason why Oryx wanted to genocide them. He was jealous of their ability to do what they could do better and with no drawbacks. The worms themselves are the cause of the hypnotic effect that causes their host to take on the "oh x mine" way of speaking.

I'm inclined to think so, I can't imagine the default forms of the worms of Fundament and the Ahamkara were originally the same. but I can see worms coming across the ahamkara another way.

Lore surrounding the primordial worm is pretty scarce so we aren't sure if they originate from fundament, or from somewhere else entirely, and they send off pods/envoys to corrupt races across the universe which is honestly the only way the ahamkara make any sense.

This is just conjecture, though. The most concrete evidence we have that they are the same species is that worms still have power even after they're killed, the same as the Ahamkara. Dead worms talked to the Osmium King and Savathun, and dead Ahamkara talk to Guardians and seduce them into the same kind of thinking as the worms do.

If there were such a cap, all weapons would deal the exact same amount of damage. That doesn't happen, a sniper shot is still stronger than a hand cannon shot no matter what.
