This argument only works if you assume the game is genuinely bad and not conceptually different from what the target audience feels entitled to.

Pretty much everybody here that did invest time into the game will tell you it's good or at least decent, and I've spread positive word of mouth for the game whenever I could, meanwhile we had a guy in here earlier deeming himself a huge fan of Metroid and doesn't care if the franchise is dead, that there's other "Metroidvanias" around, and when I tried filling him in on the strong points of Federation Force he just seemed uninterested and clueless, he actually knew nothing about the game and was just settled for confirmation bias.

IMO there's a weird divide in the community between people that want the franchise to flourish and are willing to take things at face value and support it, where as others just function off of this memetic concept that every new Metroid game is going to be "METROID DREAD," not registering that Metroid is just another IP by Nintendo, susceptible to both deviations and spin-offs, the infrequency of Metroid as an appearing franchise and it's last lackluster title doesn't somehow change that.

Like Metroid's obviously a niche franchise, and while Nintendo's not explicitly stating the franchise is being held hostage, a financial bomb is pretty telling. The subsequent release and shut down of AMR2 proooobably doesn't help the community's attitude to reason either.

Oh okay yeah, as far as longevity goes they're ok.
Mine still work fine that is. With fucking 3DS I only had trouble and I own 3 of the fucking things. The original one has dead pixels, as mentioned the xl has a broken pad and on my new 3ds the nipple stick doesn't point up for some fucking reason.

My wii u is fine.

So I'm replaying Super Mario Sunshine and I experienced my first major glitch in the game ever. I've owned it for 12+ years and never experienced that. I was doing Pinna Park episode 5 when all of a sudden Mario got stuck in the wall. FLUDD wouldn't increase or decrease, he couldn't move, I wasn't able to get out, and there were a bunch of rainbow stars coming out of his feet. I just had to end the level. I don't know if that is a known glitch but it was funny.

This game is a lot easier then it used to be. FLUDD-less episodes were always super hard for me but now I beat them in one or two go's. 3D World must have helped my platformers skills.

Any tips on F-Zero GX? I'm struggling with even the second cup on Standard difficulty, and can't get past the 7th Story mode chapter. I suck at racing games but I do want to get better at this one and I'm amazed I've getting as comfortable as I am with some circuits but I feel there's some basics I'm missing.

Heck, I still don't know how to traverse cylindrical/tubular tracks without my machine sliding to the sides and losing all its momentum, nor am I'm sure when should I using my boost. I like the Deep Claw and the Astro Robin, because I'm told they're noob friendly, and they are easier to handle than others but I still have a lot of trouble. Help please.

Don't use noob friendly cars, use the ones that have great top speed and bad acceleration from the beginning so you get used to be good, I personally use Hyper Speeder that has the worst acceleration ever but great high speed and you don't really lose any speed when using the drifiting that uses L+R.

Lads, I need an advice.
So I bought the Wii U in a trip I made to Japan one year ago, and even though I knew it was region locked, it happens I can't change the system to English, which isn't a problem to me.

But I'm taking the Wii U to my dorms and I'm going to live in college, and I'd use it to liven up or bring more of a social life to the place

I'm wondering about 2 things though
1 - let people use the wii U, I'm afraid of people breaking it
2 - the language issue

For 2 I've been thinking of using loadiine with mario kart 8 and change the language to English (even though I own the jap. version of the game)
Maybe I can do that to smash too? Not sure, but you don't really need to know moon to play it anyway

Still don't know if I should bring it with me or not though. What would you lads do?
