I disagree, considering solo queue is just master Yi's, lee's, Vaynes, Yasuo's and Gp's, having a tank is crucial especially at that low and elo. Most people at that elo will dump all of their cooldowns on the tanks and your team at that level should at least understand to go in.

you can, put pressure on the map and ping your team the objective on the opposite part of the map, be it tower or drake/baron

step 4: go to ranked
there are 2 phases in the game as toplaner

mid-late phase: choose top or bot lane (the one your team isn't focused on) and push it, if your team fights/takes baron, use teleport and mow through the enemy team as you have gold advantage from all the cs farmed in laning phase

I dunno, I carried myself in season 4 with Nasus from Bronze 1 where I was placed to Gold 5 where I finished, in season 5 I didn't play much at all, played about 50 games and finished gold 5 for the seasonal award. Then played Garen all the way from silver 4 where I was placed in season 6 for some reason, to plat 5.

I can't see why tanks can't carry at that elo if I did it, the way I understand it is that you apply so much pressure as a tank top laner that you win by just taking the jungler and mid away from the objectives, and waste their time and CS as a biproduct.

It wasn't just Garen I must admit, pre season nautilus was what got me from silver 4 or 5 to gold 5 and from there Garen did the rest.

Nashors into Boots into Rageblade is core.
From lv 1, you can bully anyone top, then at lv 2 stay back. Lv3 either all in if they are slightly weaker, or continue farming until ult.

After you get ult, either kill the enemy laner, or farm.
Back when you have around 1400 gold for stinger and boots.
Splitpush smart and teamfight smart.
In a teamfight, make sure they use their cc on other people. Ult the person carrying your ass when they get low or if they are getting ulted by two enemies.
At full build you can duel anyone not named Tryndamere or Jax

Her strongest spikes are at Nashors and then again at Rageblade.

I don't dispute that her level 3 is amongst the strongest, lee probably taking the cake though, but having her red side buffed due to the second charge on e coming up to essentially AA e AA e the whole bird camp after kruggs is essentially why she is so strong now, she shaves like maybe 8 seconds off of her old red side clear if you also count the w buffs she got the patch before.

Im going to play devils advocate - My experience between silver and plat has been playing a tanky hard engage champ is risky, something like garen will get the response "we can't follow you're too far ahead" when the truth is they just needed to follow sooner when you started pinging.

For this reason, I tended to prefer champs like cho'gath and nasus, who have really strong CCs for catching enemies out of position as opposed to engaging on them. Even the worst teammate will try to take advantage of cho'gath getting a knockup, trundle pillaring somebody off, or nasus getting a wither on someone who cant escape.
