Gathering is not a get rich quick scheme. It's tedious and has very low yield for your time, at least very low for about every other activity you could do crafting/on the AH instead.

But gathering prices have always been up to the roof at launch and Legion on my server was no exception. This weekend I sold hundreds of felslate at 90G each and leystone at 60-80G. Most herbs are still around 20G each with foxflower never being under 40G.

It will eventually nromalize as people get done spending a fuckton of mats to max gathering skills (like skill points even matter anymore but old habits die hard) and focus their attention on high-end raiding stuff, which tends to be bought in lesser quantities. I'd expect prices to drop in about 2-3 weeks.

Seems like your server just has a shitty economy for raw mats. Is it low pop?

I'd recommend leveling to 60 to get free profession boosts for your mage. Enchanting is currently expensive as all hell to level.

Boosted 100s only have about 5000 gold so you wont be able to afford much at cap. Gems will cost thousands.
