Not trying to talk shit on anyones game or nothing but I have a sf5 question. Ive seen alot of footage of this game from its first reveal all up to the evo tournament and new characters. I played alot of sf 3 online and sf 4 and I really enjoied those games. At one point in super sf 4 my Dudley was ranked 500 or something in the world which means I was the best 09er in the entire world. Jokes aside, what do you like about sf5? I really cant get hype over it. It just looks so "plain" to me.

Aside from that and general character balancing issues as a whole like ken having 3 jump in trajectory's i'm not too sure what else needs changing to improve SFV a great deal, all the things i mentioned could definitely be fixed via patching.

Give each character a 4 active frame normal to meaty with, e.g Guile's sMP, Vega's sMK etc.

Give normal anti airs more active frames and larger hitboxes, e.g Karin's cHP, Bisons cHP/sHK.

Reduce input delay by 2-4f and adjust dash ins accordingly. By either making particularly fast dashes stubby (like ibuki's is currently compared to nash's/kens) or by slowing them down a few frames.

Do all this and SFV will become 100x less unga over night.

The input lag is a pretty fucking big technical issue, it's not like you just flick a switch that says 8 frames = off. It also drops frames fairly significantly on PS4 (not that SFIV was free of frame drops) and has a big memory leak and other performance problems on PC.

Plus you know the general fuckfest the game is when it comes to non-competitive things and half the stages being SFIV volcano tier to look at.

SFIV launched with the cursed 8f's of input lag, as did Ultra on PS4, SFV can massively reduce input delay on PC simply by turning off V Sync, hell guilty gear rev has an adjustable input delay option to ADD input delay to the game in case you want to emulate online/arcade conditions.

Point is while 8f is a tech issue its hardly insurmountable

The FPS drops on PS4 are another matter obviously and all i can say is i hope it gets resolved.
