Pys exist for the sole purpose of skilling up monsters without easily obtainable skill up fodder. Each one will give a guaranteed skill up if fed to a monster of the same primary attribute.
You can get them from event giveaways, high level technical dungeons, and challenge dungeons. If you're new though, the only way you'll get one is the first method.

grodin got a buff on JP that heals awakening binds now, which makes him a really valuable sub/SI for alb farming teams and a good bind healer in general.

Balboa is a decent sub with a decent skill, but he pairs well with artemis as a lead, too.

I don't think there's any real trick, farming collab dungeons is a hassle. This might be wrong, but I believe dungeon monsters have a higher drop rate than the skill up fodder for the REM monsters when 1x drop rate is in effect. I also think that dungeon monsters have a better drop rate in the higher difficulties. It's more efficient to farm in coop, too.

You definitely can't waltz into any dungeon and expect to deal with any random thing seemlessly like Miru or Kaede. It's the Same for ACC and to a lesser extent, Paimon unless you have 3 of them.
It's long old and busted, but I've been burning stamina with him in Arena for fun and my average time per pii including my failures (mostly user error) is still under 10 minutes compared to Pandora who sits at 15-20+ for me and Miru who is around 15.
Of course there are teams who have retarded clear speed and near 100% completion rate too now. Kinnikuman is 8 minutes of straight up bullying and a Typhon haste team is around the same time, but much less effort.

The thing is, I don't think we'll be seeing any new heart cross leads with the exception of seasonal shit like the potential halloween miru or whoever else. GH probably shat their pants when they realized they fucked up big time and are now trying shit like khepri leads with big stat multipliers to bring in more variety to the meta.

For new leads or new buffs to be relevant, they absolutely need to have stat buffs or some sort of shield. The more I think about it, a shield that increases with combos would be kinda fun and would revitalise an entire gameplay style. I'm sure that could be extended to a rainbow mechanic, too. GH just has to make sure they don't royally fuck things up again by making it too OP.

Gremory is harder to play. Her teams typically lack the TEs that Kaede, Sumire, and Miru have.

Miru is probably the easiest to play and will wreck shit with an optimal board. I'd say Gremory is on par with Kaede as far as damage goes but is more difficult to play.

Sumire is technically really easy to play, but her match 5 with 1 OE really limits what you can do and what subs you can bring. To do big damage with Sumire is very hard.
