Legion is officially the worst expansion in the history of WoW, even worse than Warlords of Draenor.
If you don't believe me, wait until you're 2 months in and decide you want to try out another spec.

Have fun grinding out all of that power again.
And god forbid you want to try out another CLASS. You won't have the artifact knowledge buff to AP gains, and Blizzard has stated in interviews that this is intentional.

So if you play as an Enhancement Shaman from 100-110, and do all of your dungeons/raids as enhance, the moment you switch to Resto or Ele you're going to be doing abysmal DPS until you do a long grind for AP on each specs weapon. This can be sped up by artifact knowledge research, which grants bonus AP, but knowledge ranks are not account-wide. They're also time-gated.

This means that if you decide to level up another class to play, that will not only have a long grind for AP to get traits but also be literal weeks behind on artifact knowledge research.

Monks don't get their powers from the wild gods, they get their powers from themselves. Xuen and the rest just showed them how to use it.

The whole point of the Pandaren slaves of the Mogu training to be monks is that you can't disarm a monk. There's no weapon to take away, no incantation to silence, no divine connection to sever.

I mean, I guess you could maim them but then they'd make pretty awful slaves.

Not at all, softcap takes pretty much no effort to get. I've already softcapped 2 specs on my main. Once you get access to Suramar, AP flows like water.

As a lock, softcap all three, then focus on your main spec. You want all 3 to be relatively viable for the first raid tier. By the second you'll want to have at least one capped out.

I personally love paladin thematically but I'm getting really tired of my retridins shitty mechanics. It's ok for leveling and pvp, but in pve it's just the most boring drivel ever.

I'm seriously considering going shaman because I love all the specs it has, my only problem is that none of the alliance races really feel nice on a shaman.

Healing as holy is ok once in a while but healing in general just feels like some stupid mini-game.
