The nuke is entirely the chain.

Setzer deals 77777 damage with the right RNG. Edgar sets both elemental chain (each has a coral sword), regular chain, and spark chain just before Setzer hits.

This sets his fixed damage to multiply many times over and could probably 1shot any enemy in the game.

That extra slot guarantees the tickets can be bought, so the investment is still returned. It's not the most efficient profit, but it's still a net gain.

One at a time, who you take out first depends on your gear and hones. The idea is that they only gain extra moves when their health lowers. Drawtaliate helps in the early rounds so you can get your buffs up, if you have the hones the dark ability combos of DB+FC and MM+DZ do really well. The code only checks if she holds a katana, and then it boosts her total atk by 150%. So two katanas is not better, and two excalibur's is not better.

General idea is, if you have a relic and they're a Protag, you're Golden for a while. But other characters certainly viable. There are some people that even clear content using only Core Characters. There's also a wide array of going about fights, so there is no one-way. Just do your research of methods people use and apply it to what you have.

One other tip is not worry about making everything, just worry about getting the good abilities and honing them. Things like Curaja, Shellga, Protectga though are a must make.

Make Dark Bargain but don't hone it, see if the two charges can last you the battle. Maybe swap Gabranth for a healer while Y'Shtola uses Breakdowns or bring in someone to Breakdown while Y'Shtola heals, one of the two.
