No. If you're hull down, arty safe, and not facing down multiple TDs you can play as a front-line heavy.

If not, follow around an E100 or IS-7. Hide your LFP behind them and weave shots around their turret.

Generally try to hide your hull, and wiggle a lot so they can't pen your cupola/turret ring. You have outrageous DPM and gun handling and you can get 3-4 shots into the upper corner of an E100 turret for free if they try to push you down something the length of the Himmels 8-line.

Carry an auto extinguisher at least, and be very careful of flanking shots as you'll get fuel tank hits- which are the cause of most fires. Sidescraping not really recommended except as a way to poke out and snap snots into people while they're loading- you can't really use it to bait shots.

Sitting way in the back is a waste of the tank.

Tier 4 TDs as a group are insanely overpowered compared to other tier 4 tanks. Unicums playing these tanks can farm ridiculous amounts of DPG because they tend to be stealthy, fast, high DPM, and have enough penetration to damage every tank they encounter. The top DPG records for the t4 TDs are actually 300-400 points higher than most other t4 tanks, even the Matilda.

Keep in mind that site isn't the best reference though. A lot of those scores were earned in different metas and before TD nerfs came. I sincerely doubt those guys could get those same TD results today, and nearly the entire list has 0 in the 'recent battles' column. The SU-85B is the most glaring; almost no one runs it anymore since the nerfs. The M8A1 is still one of the best tier 4s of course since it's practically a light tank with TD guns stats, but the glory days of the SU and Murder 38t are past.

Ok so a couple months ago a friend who plays this game all of the time got me a Kanonenjagdpanzer because I didn't have any good T8 tanks to play with him and his friends.

I am terrible with this tank and it seems like I couldn't pen a beehive with this gun. My friend said that that tank wasn't as good as he thought it was and I feel bad he spent $50+ on this thing.
Any tips for this tank? I cant be aggressive with it because of the non armor and I have trouble getting into flanking positions.

I know he feels bad about it and I just want to get a little better so that I can play with him and his friends without bringing shame upon my famiry.
