Not fucking true, there are like 3-4 Otome games getting released every month, as well as some BL from time to time.
It's only that the amount of moon speakers is small + female fanbases are always smaller on 4chan.
So you get a damn small group of people, and their interest is even more split up due to console limitations and no/almost no piracy for the most popular console.
Not to forget that many people play maybe one or two VNs a months at max, since they take some time to get through.

I pirate games to try out a bit of it and if I like it I buy it.
For Drama CDs, I tend to not buy it unless the whole volume was truly satisfying to me.

Not that anon, but I bought it, and it's pretty neat. I like it. So far I've spent about 5.70 dollars on it total (the base game which includes ep 1 and then two meeting extensions). It looks kinda stiff and jumpy at times for something out of 2016, but the parts where you're face to face with him are very nice. I'm waiting to see how my answers change him, but for now I'm pretty happy just giving him stuff to liven up his room because he seems to like it a lot.

When you're looking at him through the cameras it's all right until he picks things up or puts things down. You can also see obvious breaks in his movement when responds to your texts.

I finished episode 1, and I would say that it's worth playing, at least so far. The music's very comfy, and the main character's interactions with the supporting characters are neat. The minigame where you poke him is interesting yet not really to my tastes.

For anons who are fluent in other languages, have you found any non-Japanese otoge/bobge gems? I tried out mystic messenger in Korean (since the translation was awful at times) and it's still meh. Though there seems to be more interesting Korean otoge projects floating around.

Most of the korean titles I found out about had limited runs and/or had locally distributed physical releases. It's fricking hard to get my hands on them since most of the consumers seem loyal and therefore not sharing their stuff online.
I tried the demo for Guunmong but it was hard to get an actual feel for the game since I'm pretty sure it just has the character intro scenes cut and linked together.

There also seems to be a lot of android exclusive otoge/bobge type apps in korean, but I have an iphone so I haven't been able to check things out it great detail yet.

What's people's opinions on voltages mobage? I remember playing through some of the apps awhile ago and noticing they use creative common backgrounds, so I've always thought they were lazy. The AmeMix games look kind of interesting, especially Astoria but I feel like I'd get disappointed.

The amemix art is terrible. I also have trouble reading from the POV of a protagonist who is internally flipping the fuck out about how HAWT the love interests are, cooing and drooling, when the love interest is literally just standing around not doing anything interesting. It feels super creepy.

I used to play some of their Mobage before I dug into learning moon and I've maybe only enjoyed one or two of my purchases. Notably Kenshi from their older Love Letter Thief X game.

BL CD usually don't come with an age rating. My guess is that the explicit content is already implied/expected by the source material and genre, but with the situation CDs there is a need to differentiate between lewd and non-lewd ones, so lewd ones get ratings and pseudonyms.
