This is an online game, the whole point is being able to jump in and enjoy.

Make it easier to catch up ffs, all of my friends don't want to play HS because at this point, they will never catch up.

The time it takes you to catch up on an expansion is longer than the time it takes Blizz to release one, let alone adventures.

Either double up the gold rewards, or add some filler quests + more free pack options, or enjoy watching your player base fading away while you keep milking the ones that are left.

Im willing to bet more people are leaving HS than joining each year.

Lets say you just joined now, you need to get about 120 Classic packs, another 60 Old Gods packs and another 60 of the new release, plus 2~3 Adventures.

How long is that in F2P time? and keep in mind that its going to rotate out and youll be playing catch up your whole time in this game, feeling like shit since you can't play the cool decks or even make new ones.

I've been here since release and do my dailies everyday (unless poor 40g roll) and my brawl every week. I am able to amass enough to fully unlock every adventure so far with gold, and get around 4k gold before a new set (while still getting some packs in-between). It's possible to do, but you need to play everyday or close to it. Sometimes its a chore, especially when the meta is pure shit like secret paladin.

What? Why do you need all of that? I've been F2P since two months ago, I have a stable control shaman and an aggro shaman deck I got to rank 5 with yesterday. You don't need to have a collection of every single gold card in the game. You need a deck to play, and that's it. Those are provided. You even get a neat free legendary for opening the WotOG pack you get from doing your free arena run. You can upgrade your deck by playing more and a ton of good cards(like cthun support, or things like flamewreathed faceless) are commons. That's the basis of a game. If you want instant gratification, that's what the money part is for.

Kindly Grandmother is a beast, so it has synergy with typical Hunter stuff. As a 1/1 you can use it to trade with other minions while your opponent is likely to not want to trigger its deathrattle

No it ain't. I don't grind and the only thing i've bought is the adventures (ie kara for $20, the old ones like naxx and brm are worthless since they're either already gone or about to rotate out).

That said, the only class i can play at high level (ie to legend+) is shaman (fuck zoo), since i pulled a bunch of expensive shaman cards when i first started and i've crafted most of the cards by now. The good thing is that shaman is versatile and i can play anything from face to reno control, but it'd be nice to be able to actually play the fun decks people post here all the time.

Just got back into the game.

Haven't played since Naxx was free.

Friend told me you get a ton of packs and C'thun through some missions, so came back to try.

A good chunk of my Naxx cards can't be used, I can't get C'thun and i pretty much just have basic cards that gets assblasted by the train of balance that is the newer cards.

Is there anyway to get the C'Thun or the packs or do I have to grind against hunter bots for pennies to get the packs?

I want to like this game but dear god it's not fun being new/not having a semblence of a collection.

Not really. In a physical card game I can easily buy specific cards I want online and building a good deck ends up being much cheaper than building even a mediocre deck in Hearthstone.

I understand why they can't give more shit for free, but I wish they would reduce the prices of card packs. There is absolutely no fucking reason that one card pack is $1.5 in a digital game where, as the other anon said, is no cost for printing, shipping and other stuff. While they have other costs like sound and graphics, once they are done, they can easily be reused infinitely.

If Blizzard actually halved the cost of the packs, I would be willing to invest money in the game. But for now you're guaranteed 1 lego for the most expensive pack package, which is absolutely nothing.

I really think they should start working on a buy-in mechanic for new players.
Something the likes of for 100$ you can get the whole Classic set.

This is what I had before Karazhan. I'm probably going to look at spots for Book Wyrm, The Curator, and will swap out the Gadgetzan Jousters for Netherspite Historians.

I'm not sure that Nightbane Templar fits in this deck, as this takes the shell of N'Zoth Pally and goes Dragon instead of Deathrattle. Templar feels like more of an aggressive card rather than a greedy card.

Decided to make a dragon priest deck with the new cards rate it

Nefarian is in there out of preference and I know I'd be better off with Shadow Word Death or elise

Priest of the feast is in there without a ton of cheap spells because classes that don't know the decklist will burn hard removal on it so they can actually kill me

Malchezar is in because with 5 extra legendaries I have pretty good odds of getting extra dragons and it's actually won me a few games by getting me the rag I couldnt fit in or good situational ones that I wouldn't even consider including like Cairne. Plus the extra end game from the free legendaries gave me room to put in all the early dragon synergy cards

Oddly enough that list has done tremendous work in tournaments, probably because of its N'Zoth/Control Pally shell. I've also got a friend who insisted I give him the list, and he says it does wonders on the ladder.

It's an alright card.

The effect essentially acts as a silence in addition to a transform effect which means it could be used to remove minions with deathrattles or other powerful effects as well as fucking with resurrect effects.

Further, it doesn't act as a silence for attack or health values, so it can be used to make a buffed minion unsilencable, make temporary buffs permanent or make a Barnes 1/1 permanently a 1/1.

So yeah, it's okay, in the current meta it would at least be used somewhat as a silence/anti-barnes tech. Some people would probably experiment with weird temp-buff combo decks with it but ultimately I feel that would just end up as a meme strategy.

My thoughts exactly. I keep getting heavy-but-good Leggos from Malchezaar. However, as predicted, the 5 extra cards seriously fuck up my deck consistencies to the point of making all the decks I try it in bad. And I'm talking about long, control deck inserts that I can typically use to go into fatigue with. Even those decks don't work for Malch - as a simple insert, at least.

If there's a Warrior dicklist that figures out how to insert Malchezaar, it's definitely got some Tier 1 potential.

However, I've been saying before 4th wing and I still stand by it today; Malchezaar is good enough to see tourney play.

I'm very sad, honestly, I thought he could be a fun card with meme potential and he'd slot right into something like c'thun warrior but it looks like he'd only be good if you built a deck with him in mind that draws through cards quickly or something.
I dunno. Him and Medivh are the cards I was looking forward to the most as fun cards that I know probably wouldn't be all that good in ladder, but I haven't even touched Medivh because I don't know if he'd fit into Yogg mage.
