Geocaching is a math formula that generates GPS coordinates for every day of the year. People bury/hide stuff at the coordinates ahead of time for other people to find. A lot of the times they end up in someone's backyard because the coordinates are basically random and people get mad.

Because making the game actually fun and interesting to play and replacing the birds, rats and worms that everyone is sick of catching with pokémon that actually excite people and make them want to play more is too much work. Their new "tracking" system if you can call it that is a complete and utter joke too and most people still don't have it. How they can't just cooperate with the guys who made pokévision is beyond me. Is it because someone did their job a million times better than they ever could?

Well I'm pretty much just spitballing here, but I would expect them to drip-feed you 1 candy at a time as you walk or something. Who knows what the limit will actually be or what distance you'll need to travel for what amount, or even if this system is really going to be implemented. Appranently this new buddy system is coming next week. At least most sites are posting about it now, doubt niantic will drop the ball with something that will make walking good again.

With eggs, levelling from 26 to 27 means doing two evolution runs, plus playing the game normally. You can get eggs by beating gyms daily.

There's a rumor going round that if you go to someplace with absolutely no local pokemon spawns in all directions and pop an incense, the game can't determine what 'should' spawn in that area (i.e mostly birds and rats) and defaults to random spawns, so you can end up seeing unusual pokemon spawning on the incense. Incense spawns pokemon completely at random, the game's code just calls the generic spawning algorithm when you use it, how would having no habitat data around you effect it?

Exactly how much Pokemon could I catch at a PokeStop when I drop down a Lure Module? There is one near by and might camp it out in my car if I continue to be bored as fuck. It's exactly like Incense, except other people get spawns too instead of just you.

Spawns 1 Pokemon every 5 minutes for 30 minutes.

Recording 200m of walking will trigger a bonus spawn in a minute. So theoretically if you somehow record 6km of walking distance in 30 minutes at the lured stop, you will get 30 Pokemon spawns max.

What's a good way to level up the gym to get your pokemon in? It honestly seems harder and time consuming than taking down an opposing gym.

You can use your 2k CP Vaporeon / 3k CP Dragonite and grind 100 Prestige at a time or move to a different gym.

So has anyone else been using scanners? I recently set up the Pokemon Go Live Map. It scans a circle of area every 10 seconds, and using a range of 2, you can see a little further then what appears on the in game sightings in roughly 70 seconds. In that regard it's good for finding the exact location of something the game tells you is nearby. But something like this can only be effective if you're at home or staying in one location. Upping the search zone even by 1 increment gets tricky, because it will take 4 and then 6 minutes respectively to scan that whole area. It doesn't do one large area scan, but instead does lots of smaller scans within an area. For example, lets say it scans 1 circle of area, and then moves onto the next. If a pokemon you wanted appeared in the first area right after it scanned it, it would essentially have to do a full rotation of every other circle before it comes back to that one where that pokemon is in, and only then would it appear on the map. Fortunately you can have custom notifications on so you'll know when something shows up, but because of this. you could be missing out on valuable time to get to where is is.

So yeah, this is good for people who are at home and just want to scan what's nearby. It's supposed to be able to run on your phone as well, but I've only been using the desktop application. This won't work if you're hunting for rare pokemon and want to scan a large area because of how it scans small areas incrementally and repeatedly. By the time a rare pokemon appears using something like this, you probably won't have time to get to it before it despawns.

Ok so the bad things have gotten worse or not changed, and the good things are being removed, all the while Niantic is openly saying 'fuck you' to any legitimate players by unbanning cheaters. I cheated constantly and I got most of my lvl30+ accounts back, not that I'll ever bother playing anymore. People should be actively avoiding this game. I have like 12 Golbats, 10 Hypnos, 25 Scythers (nest camping), 15 Tauros, 20 Eevees+Eeveelutions, etc.

I'm at 212/300 now. I'm out of Lucky Eggs so I don't mind the lack of space that much but I'll probably have to get another if I run out of space before I hit 1250 coins for my first 25-pack. My problem is the same as yours where I'm saving them for their movesets but I don't have any 90%+ IV moveset dudes (they're all sub-50% shit) so I feel like I'd be wasting them until I get one of each 90%+ IV moveset.

Basically what I do with my Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Golbat. Sitting on a spare 50k Star Dust right now, debating on pumping up my Butterfree, Beedrill, Nidoking, Venomoth, or Starmie or just hoarding it for more IV calculations for other Pokemon not in the list. The rest are basically sub-optimal for movesets so I really don't feel like using them for anything. If I get a second Vaporeon or a Thunder Jolteon, I will boost them up in a heartbeat.

I will say yes to free candies for idling. Having one Pokemon will mean you can basically get every evolution of it eventually instead of farming 50 shitmon clones.

Just mashing the screen with Wing Attack is a pretty good source of generic DPS where I don't have to worry about typing. He was my main battler until my first 80%+ Eevee which became the Rainer Vaporeon in the pic (which I regret using Rainer on but hey, it's a Vaporeon). For some reason I don't do as well with other Wing Attack Pokemon like the Pidgeot. They're all too slow or they die faster than the Golbat would, it's weird.

Exeggutor's charge move as a defender is actually barely important as long as the fast attack is confusion. As long as that much is true, the difference between his 3 charge moves is almost zero.

Seems to be working here - repopulating local map with spawnpoints a couple of times an hour, but you're batting 1.000 on placement. I've also entered an address which I knew to be bugged as of yesterday and it werx.

BTW, I like how you handle the weird spawn points correctly. If you scan one of those 30-minute spawns (visible for two consecutive 15-minute periods) or the 15-visible/15-invisible/15-visibleagain ones, the 'mon reappears in the circle. By comparing your results against FPM's (FPM sometimes doesn't show the second appearance of a spawn because the TTH is invalid) I've been able to identify several spawn points outside of walking range where I know a 'mon will reappear if I miss it the first time.

You pretty much have to do this which is fucking stupid. I hate having 15 Hypnos of varying CPs just for this. I want to transfer them.
They really need to change that prestige formula for training.
