Dug up ol' PSP, but it hangs at the start up gray screen, after the "Playstation Sony" something thing. It also starts by trying to read an UMD (I don't have one) then after like 3 minutes it just powers off.

Possibly. I don't know a whole lot about the Vita, but sce_modules looks like a directory to place shared libraries (like .so or .dll files). Vitamin seems to be mangling those into a steroid.suprx for some reason (probably for their plugin shit) and adding in those libraries from wherever someone got them gives the necessary functions for the game to start. But it might still be missing some or load the incorrect versions. Which makes me wonder why people are trying to shoehorn in random libraries instead of using the old psf decryption method to get the ones the game actually needs and pop those in there instead.

If you look at all the dumps people did from back then, the sce_modules directory didn't have a steroid.suprx file and instead had files like libc.suprx, libface.suprx, etc. The stuff people here call Chinese Semen is just the shared libraries from some random dump or something and it just happens to work with some games by chance.

Nah that's it, Henkaku pretty much sorts it all out for you which is great. It'll give you molecule which is a file browser and ftp server app. Just remember that it needs to install again each time you do a reboot and that's it.
