Seeing the update that's coming to New Leaf motivated me to start up playing again (I didn't tire of the game, I lost my cartridge and became demotivated when I had to start again)

In other news, what are things you'd change about New Leaf? I think it'd be fun to have a little review of the games.
Personally I think the dialogue of some shop keepers should be cut down or removed after the first time you read it. Stuff like Blathers 'Oh no you don't have to pull it all out..' gets repetitive. I also really liked being told all about the fossils and things by him in the previous games, I know it might not be a popular opinion but at the very least his dialogue changed every time, now he speaks to fit his name sake but repeats himself far too much. I also would like it if the help you gave him in Wild World to get over his fear of insects had some effect on his behaviour, but it seems totally unchanged (a lot about Blathers I know, but he's one of my favourite NPCs)
As far as other things go I think my main issue is repetition in all dialogue making tasks tedious (selling, buying etc) I think if I could buy multiple items from a shop at one time instead of having to read through their dialogue multiple times if I want a few items could really improve stuff. Over time what I found made the game stale more than anything else was these character interactions, everything else in the game is nice and fluid and changing but the dialogue can just make things a chore.

Apparently weight benches are cozy.
I had this weird glitch when I used AnimalMap on my town when i tried to emulate ACWW a year ago: I could only catch about 6 fishes, there was never any other fish, played for three days and stopped. I don't know if it has to do with the fact that i totally modified the river. I made it go in a "natural" way but just different from the original map i had. Praying to the animal crossing gods that it doesn't happen again. I don't wanna reset to find a good map for 6 hours.

I've made loads of progress on my town, almost all my paths are laid out. What I need now is trees and flowers, and PWP. I'm also hoping Vladmir will move out soon.
The good thing about starting again is I think I like my town layout a lot more now!
I guess another thing I'd change about New Leaf, is having more slots for QR codes and being able to place tiles easier.
I also need to figure out how to plot reset, wish we could choose where our villagers put their homes.
