You want to max Q first and W second. Your Mantra E has insane power late game and can shield for nearly 1k damage and provides half that to the rest of your team, meaning you can shield for nearly 3k damage instantly for four seconds, and with 45% CDR you can do that twice in a team fight easily. Do not hesitate to use your mantra E in team fights, especially on your fed carries.

If you have a shot at hitting their carries by all means use mantra Q, but if their tanks are blocking line of sight to their carries do not waste a mantra Q on a tank. Use your mantra E.

In lane you need to farm hard. If your opponent is not someone you can kill that is okay. Karma actually scales very well with CS. Her kit makes CSing without taking too much damage very easy. Don't be afraid to go take the razorbeak camp with your mantra Q in between waves if you're in a farm battle. Be prepared to run top or bot in between waves to gank or assist your jungler. If there is no kill potential in your lane you should be clearing as fast as possible and then positioning to assist lanes.

Your first item should be Morello's. First component of that item should be Lost Chapter, and buy Sorc boots right after LC and then finish the Morello's. After Morello you want Deathcap. After Deathcap you have options.

If no opponents are building MR you can get Luden's. If you have a fed hyper carry on your team such as Jax, Vayne, Yasuo, you could get Ardent. If they are building MR and their team has a health stacker get Liandry. If multiple opponents are getting more than a single MR item you'll need a void. If they have a fed AP carry and you cannot avoid them in team fights get an Abyssal. If they have a fed AP carry but you know you can avoid being hit by them in team fights for the most part then you don't really need MR. Fed AD assassin killing you then get a Zhonya's.

It's very situational.

Like Dragon I can take whenever the fuck I want. The drakes are all easily soloable and can be taken when the enemy botlane is down or just if nobody is paying attention. Your botlane doesn't even have to help you, they can keep pushing tower.

Rift Herald on the other hand, not only do you want the enemy toplaner to be dead or forced back, you ALSO want the enemy jungler to be busy somewhere else, AND you need to have both you and the enemy jungler at Herald because soloing Herald is like passing a kidney stone.

Also if your top laner isn't winning lane or can't push the lane and take towers it's a waste of time.

Rift Herald is what you dump on your snowbally already-winning Toplaner so that you never have to worry about toplane for the rest of the game.

I'm bronze and when I play a midlane mage like ahri or velkoz, should I prioritize CS or kills around the map later game? When I focus on CS, I always get between 5.5-6.5 CS a minute, but then my kill participation usually ends up around 48%
Keep in mind that everyone else is almost always below 4 cs/min
Should I just group mid with everyone else? Assuming that if I don't clear side lands, nobody else will.

They halved its damage and made it necessary to land his full combo (which is super expensive to do thanks to mana cost hikes) to even get full utility out of it.
