Every living survivor is a potential source of points for the killer. That's why hooking a survivor and then camping them until they get sac'd is a shitty way to get points, as if they get saved and then downed again and re-hooked you'll end up getting way more points from them than if you camped them to death the first time. This applies to every active survivor.

So maybe he was like "I'll mori him next time I down him" and it never happened.

Alternate explanation because this happened to me once: he played a round of Kill Your Friends as the killer, and used a mori (offerings aren't consumed when you play them in KWF), then forgot he had it equipped next time he played a legit killer game with randoms

It's not like it takes any skill to pull off a pallet stun. Just run circles around a pallet area until he gets close and then throw it down. If he backs off, keep running and don't throw it. Eventually he is forced to chase you straight to the pallet or else the loop will never end, and then he gets stunned.

And now you can't get a hit in when they do this. Good fucking luck on any map with a large amount of pallets.

As someone who mostly plays survivors unless the daily rituals ask me to be a killer, I have to ask. Does anyone think playing the killer is actually fun? For me it's always more of a chore, a tedious task. It's just frustrating and annoying to chase the survivors around imo.

I think one of the reasons that it's boring is that theirs no consequences for your actions. Sure you can be bad, but even as a bad killer it's easy enough to pip (playing against bad survivors). I think of it like this.

I have a proposition. Completely get rid of SFtS and Whispers, and heavy nerf Calm Spirit. why? because those two perks are bullshit. You are basically admitting that your not good enough to find the survivors on your own and you need to be hand held through it. It ruins the whole 'hide and go seek' element of the game. If the survivor fucks up (blows a gen, sprints, fast vaults) then that's fine, it's their fault. but having a massive visual clue every time a crow fly's off (which is already a huge give away) is somewhat unfair, and Whispers is uncounterable to my knowledge. If the killer cannot find me on his own then he doesn't deserve to know where I am or if I'm close to him.

I really like this game, but I think the community itself is going to tear its self apart and the game is going to be unplayable. Killers saying survivors too OP, survivors saying killers too op. Devs just trying to get some balance. I agree some shit is fucked, but fact of the matter is that 4v1 will never work, it will never be balanced because rank one tryhards are going to find some way to exploit something in the game every time.
I suck so in the lower ranks the killer usually wins, but almost every high level SWF is playing in a group and talking and giving locations and shit so the survivors win most of the time. Not being able to silence SWF makes it shitty for the killer so they will buff the killer, making him destroy low rank gameplay, making the survivors bitch.

Would like to see the game develop, but my guess is that its going to be FTP by fall of 2017 because, like evolve, only 200 people will still be playing by then because 4v1 doesn't work

There are certain spots, always at vault points, where the killer cannot catch a survivor. The survivors sits at the vault, waiting for the killer to get close. If they see them get close, they hop to the other side and repeat the process. Killer cannot climb over since it takes too long and they will just run around to the other side.

It all comes down to level design. Devs just can't into fixing their levels.

I guess I have a bit of a minority experience then because I cannot for the life of me get past rank 7 survivor. I'm not dropping past 8 ever but I'm also not climbing. Killer though? Barely play it. In fact I usually only play it for the easier and faster bloodpoints, got to rank 8 killer by i think it was level 26, now i'm 33 and rank 12 after the reset.
Maybe it's because my survivor perks are sprint burst, spine chill, calm spirit, and adrenaline (actually have no clue what to put here don't really want adren)

What I really want is sprint burst, urban evasion, iron will, and quick and quiet. But I just like being sneaky.

Let's look at Nea's perks compared to the Nurses perks in the last update, shall we?

Nea's best perk is a perk that at level 3 uses consumables 15% slower, Street Wise.
The Nurse gets a perk that can be used by any killer mind you.. where she can see anyone healing or getting healed through walls, trees and rocks from an insane 32 meter range.

We could go on and on. Perk for Perk.

Killers have every advantage and if anyone truly has OP perks, it's the killers for sure.

They have the speed.
They have insane lunge attacks to hit survivors through windows 15 feet.
They now teleport through pallets thrown in their face and hit the survivor.
Survivors run at a window and now slow down and crawl through it in slow motion while killers close in with their lunge attack.

So tried of killers whining about survivors being OP and having over-powered perks, when honestly.. a survivors best perks are "self care" and "sprint burst". The killers never have to heal and now how a perk to see healing happening though any object. Survivors can't hide from it. It's ridiculous. Sprint burst, ohhh, at best we can run just a touch faster then killers 3 seconds of every 43 seconds in a chase. OMG, sooo OP! GTFO with killer's continued crying and whining about survivors having OP perks when they can carry survivors all over the map and then to the dungeon almost every time with IG3, when they have NOED with 1 hit kills for 2 min once gates powered as well as increased speed movement, when they have Nurses Calling to see healing thru any walls 32 meters away, when they have the ability to blast through pallets in a second with Brutal Strength, when they have Agitation to move even FASTER to hooks, when they have Spies from the Shadows & Whispers giving away survivors hiding locations at any second.

I like Thanatophobia and Stridor, I'd say choose between those two. For real right now - what do survivor players here do when a killer face camps?

It seems like getting 2 or so free gennies is perfect, almost a game maker, for the other 3 survivors. Yes, someone dies, but if the killer actually sat there in front of them for the entire time, there is no way they are going to get everyone else.

While I agree with both of your statements, I would like to clarify that there are also lots of idiot killers out there as well. As I said I mainly play killer, but I managed to get to rank 10 this season and last season as a survivor without any egregious cancer gameplay.

I've had killers and witnessed killers camp a survivor when neither of the two scenarios you mentioned were in play. I think some killers, the lower rank and lesser experienced, a) don't know any better or b) are autistic and interpret a survivor running away and keeping them busy (without using infinites or other cancer mind you) for a while as some kind of insult. Like I try everything in my power to evade someone and they'll eventually catch me, followed by hitting me on the hook like I was running an infinite and they just got a clutch hit on me. A few high ranks will do this as well though, as I remember one game I had where the rank 1 wraith literally fucking facecamped every survivor on the hook. It was painful, and we still ended up getting massacred. He was also using the wallhack addon on Thompson house so, go figure.

well it depends on the camper really. some have a freaking leash and wont chase past 3 meters and will just sit there. from what i have been reading is that you need one guy to go for it and pull them just slightly enough that the other person can get them off the hook before monster can hit again. i think at high levels everyone has sprint so they all just get away.
I usually try to save the survivor because it is a lot more fun than just running around setting off generators.

Not really good at avoiding the nurse so I usually have to let the other guy hang when shes camping.

There are idiot killers but killers are in general far more intelligent and calm, and less inclined to be toxic in their play. It's nonsensical to pretend this is a neutral issue where both sides are at fault.

If you decide you're going to use up every pallet on the map to keep the killer off you instead of using the distraction created by the stun/breaking of one pallet to get away and hide, then yeah, he's going to camp you. You think he wants to do THAT chase 3 times?

Try for short chases that end in you getting away without 3 generators popping in the mean time, and you're less likely to get camped.

You make a good point. A lot of the people who bitch about camping - I'd love to see them play say, 10 matches as both a survivor and a killer. Highly unpractical, I know, but in that situation you could see what kind of player they are and it would make it an easy decision to ignore anything they try to argue. To be fair, pallets didn't really feel the same as they were prior to the Last Breath chapter. We all know that update severely broke killer lunges and their interactions with walls, pallets, etc. but I think even after the fix, pallets were still a little easier to lunge through and teleport through while hitting a survivor.

However, I think that changing pallets to what they are now is complete bullshit. It turns the pallet into a much more protective barrier and I can see it as encouraging palletcamping shitters even more. This was the wrong fix when they probably should have tweaked lunging, but I'm going more off of memory and gut feeling regarding old pallets than anything so I could be mistaken.

Just had a game against what I assume were SWF shitters. Killed them all as Hillbilly on Wretched Shop. Of course they all called me a camper, even though the only camping I did was of one person who was on their second hooking when everyone was setting off crows around me and they weren't even trying to be subtle about their plan.

Perplexingly, they also always suggest that I'm shit and only made it to rank 1 (as if that is difficult) by playing Hillbilly, and suggest playing as a "harder" killer.

I just had the meme game of the century my dudes.

>Get the weirdest gen spawns ever, incredibly far apart and grouped together in pairs.

I am leaving a lot out, but this is where it gets good

>Gates have been open for ages, the last Jake and Nea haven't left, they are working on the gen that is ten feet away from the gate surrounded by pallets (which now scare the shit out of me since I can't just lunge attack them)
>I walk up to the perimeter, close enough so they can see me, but far away enough so they know I can't do anything
>Stand there for a minute with them just staring at me, they finally realize I am "friendly"
>Suddenly, not bored anymore, a fire ignites inside of me
>I do all of my normal things to let them know that I won;t hurt them, let them come close, I don't hit them, let them stun me with the pallets, etc.

Nurse > Hillbilly > Trapper > Wraith

Nurse's is quite personal and downright erotic when used on Meg, Nea or Dwight.

Hillbilly's is a chainsaw execution, can't argue with that.

Trapper's is just simple slashing but at least it's a cool slashing pattern.

Wraith just beats them to death. Boring.

I agree, though I think Nurse's could use some work. The way her hands just awkwardly, silently grip their throats with no sound effects is kind of off putting. I wish there was a bit more detail put into the Mori kills, like some visible wounds on the survivors or something. Wraith's is the worst, though I do like how he calmly and stiffly just grabs their ankle and slides them closer.

So I played a game where there's 3 gen left standing with only 1 survivor left. He was hidden the whole time so I would expect the crows to start coming but that never happened even after searching for almost 5 minutes. Does interacting with gen bit by bit get rid of them or is it a bug?

also, whispers is bugged and it picks up dead survivors, which will throw you off. normally it wouldnt matter what perks you use at that rank/level but whispers is the one perk aside from lightborn that will be more prone to fuck you up

How do we make Unnerving Presence good?

I was thinking maybe that the skillchecks triggered by it cannot be Great, or if they are, they don't grant the bonus progress.

Thoughts? Otherwise it seems kind of useless, people say survivors use it for free checks but if you're approaching their gen there's a bigger chance of them hopping off (more than 8%) when they hear your terror radius and blowing the check.
