Why does a counterattack-like dodge force her to jump backwards, of all things?

Why does it always have to teleport her "behind" something, instead of just letting her dash in some direction of her choosing?

Why does it not even successfully get her behind enemies sometimes?

Fuck, towards the end I started turning around and neutral-dodging back into Muir at the "knock him off the cliff" phase just because I was having issues where wind step's buff would show up and Lynn wouldn't teleport and just jump off the cliff instead, probably due to my toaster lagspiking every time he destroyed a wall or flashed red.

And I still die to that while farming Paradise Stones at times when she decides to teleport in front of him instead of behind and he pushes her off the cliff while just walking forwards during his punch string

Old player who finally got off his ass and got to S3/90 here, looking for advice on maxing out endgame stats. My gear is getting me through S3 all right, but half the time I join a raid it's just 7 other guys with neon green +15 weapons and 24-26k attack and I can't contribute for shit.

Currently at a little below 20k attack running cheap purple 2/3-star gear and thinking of how I'd make up that attack difference. Got strength mastery maxed and like 90% of the titles already, ignoring the new Ein Lacher ones.

Get Orange Weapon Part -> +1kish attack
Use next event quality coupon on the weapon -> +1kish attack?
Swap shitty leather non-attack bracelets to expensive bracelets with attack stones -> +500sh attack
Swap Pirate Earrings with the Eochaid ones -> +100-200 attack
Swap cheap emblem with a Kitty Brooch -> +100-200 attack
Swap Emerald Belt with Peridot Belt -> +100-200 attack
Get R7 enchants on all armor pieces -> +500ish attack?
Infuse everything with attack -> +1kish attack?
Blow VVIP and wear costume shit -> +200-300 attack

That would probably get me to 24kish? I assume getting +15s is how I've seen the great white whales with 26k-27k attack, but I'm not even going to consider myself pulling that off without an event.

Is there anything I'm missing, or is farming this shit and looking at my waifu's ass an accurate representation of my future days in Vindictus?

What's the best place to farm nowadays, for that matter? Used to Fruitful Valor runs, but it seems like now it's selling drops from Ben Chenner Entrance or fishing for expensive bracelets in S2 80-90s?

Lots of that attack on the overgeared people is wasted since current cap on s3 is just over 23k and we don't have the attack cap lift system yet, so don't worry about what other people have.

You can easily get 23k with a double r7 +11 orange weapon without wasting your gold on infusions, or even fully enchanting your armor.

If you put enthus or r7s on all of your armor you'll get way more than 500 attack from it, along with valuable stats like balance and crit which you're probably lacking.

My main account's only option for jumping was a level 40 storage Lann I made shortly before Karok release. I've gone throught he torture of pre-renewal trans 99 chars, and the horrible boredom of grinding it up in TT/AL/LH parties to get them to 99, I've also suffered through maxing out not one, but three third class characters. The grind of Vindictus pales in comparison, and that's including gearing up.

Combat is kinda like Dark Souls + Black Desert. Bosses can be insane without prior knowledge and utilizing i-frames and dodges are the only way to beat them solo. It's pretty grindy, as most MMOs are, but it's far less tedious than most.

Pros:
-Great active combat system (no tab-target bullshit)
-Graphics have held up very well over the years
-Plenty of classes (characters) to pick from
-Probably has a world record for types of underwear in-game
-Probably still has the best avatar customization options of any modern MMO
-Boss fights are actually fun and rewarding

Cons:
-Early content is a graveyard. You learn how to solo bosses real quick.
-You have to re-run dungeons a lot for quests.
-A lot of the best avatar options are cash shop
-Lets be real. All of the best avatar options are cash shop.
-Getting new gear is very grindy starting at mid-level
