Thanks for all the feedback.
I'll absorb what you said and rethink mechanics more to see if I can try and find a more reasonable and simple fighter.

Ultimately I think I took a fundamentally bad step in the direction towards complicity when I tried to make the Chaos Meter have so much effect.

My goal is to have a fast-paced game but also have each character have their own form of movement options. Hence why Sonic, Shadow and Metal would be the only peopel to airdash.

Ultimately I want it to be simple enough for people who've never played a fighting game to not be overwhelmed while also giving them a familiar momentum based gameplay since this game would be targeted towards the Sonic fans as it is a Sonic game.

I'm not saying RoF doesn't deserve to be on the list if Sega makes a megamix fighter, it just threw me for a loop because it was developed by Tri-Ace who basically shop around for publishers vs Platinum who have a good chunk of their games owned by Sega.

I corrected my chart listing the numbers of zones and acts in the 2D games. I also added number of bosses per zone but that has little deviation. I should tallied up all the bosses for every game instead.
