It's not a commit to Polaris code. /vg/station will not become a host for Polaris code for as long as it takes to rename and add some of our own sprites or memes or make Vox a selectable round start race and resprite tajarans into skeletons.

It's a branch that'll become a standalone codebase like /vg/code was worked from an itteration of baycode and came about in the first place.

Polaris has a lot of gameplay features we'd already like and fresh antag modes, and it'd be an excuse to do some drives to try and bring the population up again.

The point is that people want to keep some indivduality with /vg/code and we don't want to just host another codebase.

Polaris code gives us things to work with and has a lot of potential for fun that's currently not explored by Polaris servers for either lack of interest or numbers that /vg/station can fufill instead.

It's how /vg/code came about in the first place, and baycode has make significant advances to make it worth while to branch off of again since then.

People already enjoy their wizard spells on here and sec glocks is an actual PR that can be fufilled by Polaris code already without having to worry about shitcurity bleeding people out. You can already remove round start races that you don't want and have an asimov borgs start.
