Even with zen / earthquake Snorlax is a top-tier attacker and defender because it's so fucking bulky. L29 here with 430km clocked and I haven't even seen a Snorlax except for the lucky cunts who stick them in gyms.

Daily reminders that:
- There is no Star Dust cap on accounts

- Pokemon spawn locations are static, not random, so if you find a non-lure, non-incense Pokemon at a point, it will spawn more Pokemon at that point again so going through the effort to track down spawn locations is worth it if you write them down.

- Incubators are a waste of money, 5km eggs are a 1/40 chance of getting a Pokemon (and its candies) you want. Not worth $1 for three eggs.

I'm using pokemongodb.net as a base for ideal movesets, but I'm confused because some lists show others ideal movesets for your mons. So it's not like you can always have optimal movesets for your mon, unless it's a twister gyarados who has no salvation.

What are you doing with your local gyms each day? Eggs are only 80, even if you average a mere 40 coins a day you should be able to get an egg every 2 days, more than enough for your evo party needs.

What about rivers, lakes or large bodies of water in general? If it's shown as water in your map and there was enough cell activity recorded by Niantic in 2012, it could be a spawn area. I know for a fact because many Dratini nests were also riverbanks and such before they removed them.

It's worth a shot if you really want Lapras or Dratinis.

Get a Lucky Egg. Evolve 70+ Pidgeys in the 30 minutes you get. If you're a bot, there are other options but let's pretend you're playing legit.

No, egg cap is 20.
Wild Pokemon cap is 30.

Pokemon spawns are a timer + specific spawn point.
Nests are multiple spawns of the same Pokemon stacked together. If spawns seem to cluster around certain times of the day, that's because that's just when all the different spawn timers are programmed to go off.

Incubators are a scam. Spending coins on incubators is basically a gambling addiction. At least spend your free coins if you must, but never real money.

More Lucky Eggs for the grind, and storage upgrades are better utility.

Not much at all. We only care because we're autists and have to be better than everyone else. Power difference between 0% and 100% is at most like +10% CP and doesn't really matter unless it's a lv 40 vs lv 40 dickswinging contest really, especially given how the shitty "pvp" gyms work right now.

Trading was an official Niantic announcement from one of the television ads. They basically never say anything to the playerbase though so most of the info comes from the bot devs who reverse-engineer the game and updates, and the usual info sites like silph road.

IV is the thing that determines the final level CP of your pokemon?
Some mons have some weird variables when evolving.

The difference in CP between 30 and 40 is ~14%, not much at all so it's worth viewing 30 as the end point to build up a team of guys to 30. You have passed one grind to replace it with the dust grind. Depending on what you already have it may not be too bad, and you may now get lucky and catch high level 25- 30 wild mons which may not require a huge investment.

You'll still be catching a lot of pidgeys though.

Do you have a team of 6 or so good IV mon that you would be happy to invest in?

30-40 the cp gain per level/half level is reduced by half. So instead of gaining 50 cp per power up on your Dragonite you would be getting 25 for an increasingly disgusting amount of stardust and candy. Hence the smaller disparity between a 20-30 and a 30-40. That extra CP isn't likely to deter anyone taking them down if they really want to either. I can't see anyone investing, certainly beyond 35 unless it's a 15/15/15 with top moves.

I'd be tempted to just bank the dust in preparation for new Pokemon.

Would have been nice if the final grind from 30-40 was 'Ev training' or similar, a smaller reward for using the guys to battle. Would have nicely mixed it up and perhaps encourage people to invest in lower level shitmons to 30. Fuck knows.

Well, my current cycle routine might get changed. So far I was cycling 3.6 km to get a theoretical 6 gyms. But the track is a bit hard, which means delays. And I normally only get 3 gyms.

I only did that route because I need to take care of my sister's cat and she lives next to a gym.

But if I take a route to the other side of town, I can cover 5 gyms within 3 km cycling. And the track is much easier. More straight, less/no stoplights. I might even get all 5.

And I cycle around 8 pm. And the last gym is at the mall, so I save it for last because it changes hands every 5 minutes until 11 pm.

The worst part is that a lot of the gyms are next to cell towers or in the middle of nowhere so it makes my GPS go haywire from overload or lack of signal when I'm using GPS+wifi. If I set it to GPS only, it also loses signal so often that in either case, I get ERROR'd out of the gym and can't get back in.

Even on a bike, doing a tour on the less active gyms on the perimeter would take 2-3 hours because I'd run out of supplies after gym #4 or #5 and there are so few stops I can hit up, and since all the college kids are coming back now, the hills are getting covered in blue. Did I mention that the entire city is just one big lumpy mass of hills? Slow as fuck on foot, slow as fuck on bike, it is torture. I enjoy a 25km hike every once in a while but not on a daily basis for coins. And I'm pretty sure most of the spoofers in the area are also blue (because I'm in an open park at 3am and there is nobody around but the gym is still getting taken over). Joining Mystic wouldn't change anything because even if Mystic kids spend a lot of time taking over the gyms, it usually changes hands a couple times before the non-Mystic people give up and by then, my dudes would already be long gone out of the gym.

You will level so slow that yes, you can grind multiple mons to 30 or whatever level you are before you level up again.

I'm planning on having an Eeveelution squad on top of other riced out 90%+ IV battlers. Level 30 is when you slow down on the grind and start focusing on bringing up the mons you left behind.

It could be a reoccuring spawn, or it could be a super rare random occurence. The only way to be sure is to mark down the spawn point and time and keep checking it at regular intervals.
