Chances are theyre probably going to cave in and in reality bring whoever is good. I've seen many guilds use that sort of "scare tactic". My guild tried that shit on me and I called them out on it.

DESU if you actually show up regularly, have good gear, do good dps, and do your part to maintain the guild bank via enchants, gems, food, flasks, pots, etc. youll probably get in

but dont drop a damn dime on that guild bank until yall start actually raiding

this sort of thing is a two way street. you need to make sure they know that if you preform well and still arent allowed in (or if they preform poorly overall) you can take your logs/parses and find someone else.

You had to actually set up for it, use it in a combo with another mage, and was only viable in 3s, since you'd get stomped in 2s by other DPS that can dodge it or a healer than can use a defensive for the burst, 5s doesnt exist and goodluck in RBGs.

The spell wasnt even strong for PvP either, because you cant freeze bosses, not its 100% useless

I didn't get it, until i had a long conversation with some dude in FFXIV. Basically they don't give a fuck about progression, or levels, or skills, they see everything with such young innocent eyes, everything is cool, shit armor with some cool graphics is a god damn treasure, they don't care if a group progresses slowly it just gives them more time to type and devleop their character.

It catched my eye since he seemed to level so slowly, and then everyone who rushed to cap got bored, dissapointed and just canceled their sub, but this rp guy kept playing his homo lalafel everyday like 8 hours every time, eventually reached the highest level somehow, and I asked him why he took so long and how he kept interested in that char the whole time. Then proceeded to explain to me how his friends liked playing stupid things like hide and seek, or give him mini quests and then reward him with kisses and cakes... that was all he needed to be online all day, while people kept complaining about no content and how horrible the game was.

Yes, everyone gets XP. Also, you get a group bonus to XP gain. Makes it much faster.

You can just get the addon whisperinvite and set it to auto invite people that whisper you a keyword (e.g., 1 is most common) and just spam general every time you log in for people to whisper you. Your group should fill up immediately.

On Alliance I recommend dun morogh. For horde either barrens or azshara. I think for azshara you don't need to log out because you're right next to org so if you just zone over and back after waiting a bit it will be a new invasion. That can save time.

depends if you're a casual rper or a hardcore rper (yes they're different)

There's people who just randomly switch to rp mode, and usually just autismo grind the whole game like any non rper, then when they get bored of the actual game they go to low level zones to interact with the younlings and pretend they're some striking hero or stutter like a bitch to get gang banged by futa gnomes.

But the real hardcore rpers don't get to max level without having a myriad of tales to tell about their adventures, progressing in game is sometimes even treated as a sign of aging or nearing the end of a journey.

Some people just act in character all the time but don't really waste time rping, most they do is troll trade chat and pretend they're angry at something. We had an amazing tauren on ED, his background story was something about being abandoned and being hit by a mule or a horse in the head, so he had some sort of speech impediment. He was so fucking popular he made key players from the opposite faction reroll to horde and join his guild, forming a super elite pvp/ve guild with all the warlords from both factions all under the banner of some retarded tauren.

I tend to roleplay now and then, when I've the time for it and I appreciate it if the ones I speak with ingame have gone through some effort to make their characters presentable. A level 1 roleplayer won't win hearts and minds, unfortunately. I agree with some anons here. Get your character atleast to 60 and up, so you can wear different pieces of armour and travel to some zones with your guild(s) without the fear of death every twelve steps.

That's a rather broad question but it all depends on the guild. The majority you'll find are generic military guilds. Almost all leaders suffer from some superiority-complex so they want to lead, force people into formations and uniforms and so on.

Storylines, sort of? My guild hosts events on occasion (I'm on Argent Dawn, EU.) and they're mighty fine. We have great officers, a dependable leader and good members. It can range from simple festivites, some combat stuff where you roll or free-emote (and place raid markers to act as specific things such as enemies or traps and somesuch). You just need to get lucky, I guess. And keep your character realistic! No son of Arthas and leader of Stromgarde shit.

As Archimonde fell, the entirety of the RIPIP teamspeak devolved into incoherent screams of rage. Icy was immediately kicked from the raid group, the guild, his house, his town, his state, his country, and had his girlfriend fucked by every member of RIPIP. Twice.

This event broke our noble protagonist. How could he live after earning the hate of his true love, Fallaa? However, just as his despair reached its peak, a miracle occurred. A single polaroid of a 35.4 BMI man’s armpit flew directly into Icy’s awaiting face, as if a gift from the angels above. It was then that Icy changed forever. This was the moment in which the Icy we all knew and loved died.
