I've been pumping Wraith / Jake respectively. Wraith is at 40 now since I didn't like leaving that unfinished, and Jake is 49.

All of my killers are 15-20 besides them, and it's moreso because the mori dailies are literally not fucking worth it. It's a 3k BP profit at best, and that's assuming you get a cypress and actually manage to kill the last guy before he hatches or whatever / use an ivory

Devs pretty clearly don't care at this point. The survivor meta hasn't really changed since release, except when people started chaining pallets instead of trying to flee. We know they have statistical data of the perks people take, but haven't made any significant changes. You could nerf self-heal to it's rank 1 version, but there will always be a huge gap in utility between the power to heal and the power to escape the hook 3% more effectively or whatever.

I was the guy who posted this >>153009567 story about Jake, and I have another Jake tale...

This Jake was different than the last Jake we covered. He has no perks. No flashlight, toolbox, or med kit. This was a default Jake, just the way I like them. Throughout the game, this Jake would run around like he was playing the game at 2 frames per second. Very late jukes, mostly just ran in a straight line. Never used a pallet, and never jumped through a window (that I saw). Once I had hooked all of his friends after they kept trying to unhook their friends while I was still there, I found Jake. I wanted this to turn out like the time before last when I was alone with a Jake, where me and him skipped merrily along to all of the generators and pallets, fixing and destroying as we pleased. But this Jake, as I mentioned before, was different. Whenever I waled up to a gen holding him, hitting it with my machete to convey my intentions, he would wiggle out of my grasp, and then immediately run away. I am not saying he did this once or twice, and then I gave up, no no, because fear is natural at first when attempting to train a Jake. No, this Jake ran away from me probably around 15-20 times before I gave up and hooked him. He really, honestly believed that he could escape by running, instead of doing one or more gens with me and then going through the hatch. I tried everything to communicate that I didn't want to do him any harm, but he would not have it. Every time he ran, I would follow just inches behind him, so close that he had to know that at any second I could down him with the click of a button. But he still resisted. He had an iron will that could not be broken. I had to get my pet Jake put down, but I feel he is in a better place now, playing a game that is more suited for his needs...

Sprint, Self Care, and Saboteur should have been abilities instead of perks. No other perks for survivors or killers give you additional moves like they do.

Did the devs ever even watch a horror movie? It's the other way around. The killers walk at 5 mph and the survivors sprint away, only to trip up in their confusion and be slaughtered.

A big part of slasher films is the gory and creative ways a person can be killed. In Dead by Daylight, kills are probably the most boring part of the game. You run up to somebody, smack them with a weapon twice... And that doesn't actually do anything, it just depletes half of their health bar and you have to put them on a meat hook. That's it. You don't actually kill them yourself. Which brings me to

I want to feel my sledgehammer bashing in Dwight's head. I want to feel my bonesaw impaling Jake's torso. I want to feel my machete hacking off Meg's head. That is not the case. All my weapon does is make somebody enter a limping state. If I do it again, they enter a dying state. Then, if they get out of said state, they're back to limping and can be healed back to their normal state. This state-based system really does detract from the authenticity. I'd much rather a more detailed Fallout-esque system.

This isn't just about the fact that all survivors are Olympian athletes who are experts in surgery and sabotaging. This is about the fact that the survivors are always prepared for the killer. You never see that in horror films. To horror movie victims, it's always unexpected. They usually don't even know there's a killer until most of their friends have been massacred. That's where you draw tension and suspense. This is not at all present at all in DbD. All the survivors already know there's a killer loose and can bring maps or keys or toolboxes.

Just play whatever you like anon. You don't really need any perks at all to play, they're just added flavour. If you're planning to be efficient though, always spend your offerings/addons. Can't really tell who and what they'll buff/nerf.
If anything you'll eventually just want to have one survivor to play with maxed preminition/spine chill, and one killer with iron grasp/deerstalker.

I don't personally have an issue with high perk Survivors in general, but it gets obvious when its SWF groups who are just highly organized and loaded to the tits with high perks.

It really kills a match when they just toy with you for like an extra 10 minutes when all you can do is follow after them with both gates open, and all they do is taunt.

How can the devs expect anybody to play killer with this fucking godawful excuse for a map being out? Not to mention the horrid matchmaking and their pitiful attempts to just HIDE the horrid matchmaking instead of just fixing it, the ridiculously unbalanced survivor meta of the meme trinity which completely defiles the game's basic fucking design, and - how could I forget - SWF, quite possibly the most fucking ill-conceived mechanic in this shitfest of a game and a prime example of the devs sucking off whiny survivors.
